Backs against the wall, he makes the change we desperately needed. Every team goes through bad stretches. Ours was at the end of the season triggered by losing a key component.

Hats off the kids and the staff. They showed what they are about. Monumental win.

Conversely, if I’m Michigan, I’m gnashing. With all of that talent they got absolutely manhandled.

Minnesota isnt great but we seemed to have woke them up. They are playing much better since our game. I dont think there's any comparison between that loss and the Lafayette loss.

I think the Minnesota loss is totally over rated. Minnesota had to hit 4 3s in a minute. It was a fluke more then poor coaching.
I think this is true. But, I think it was probably an "interesting" week of practice for our boys - with several "learning" moments pointed out clearly by the coaches...at high volume lol. I am happy that Coach got a chance in the post-game interview with Andy Katz to get positive exposure, so the season didn't end with the Minny disaster being a closing moment on a good season...for recruiting purposes and this team's psyche. Coach has so many irons in the recruiting fires right now, a positive was needed here. I digress, as usual...congrats to a great, getting-off-the mat performance by our guys!!!! GO RU! This was SO-O-O-O great today!!

I think the Minnesota debacle taught our players the "it's not over til it's over" lesson. Even with a big lead with under a minute, they looked like they were focused to finish the game.

Michigan was not Pike’s biggest win, not even close.

No one in college basketball does less with more than Juwan Howard.

Great post. In the spirit of that, maybe we could just stick to sports posts from now on, where we strangely agree most of the time...

Beating Purdue twice as the #1 team was bigger. Today's game may have been one of the more important games, virtually clinching a spot in the dance when it appeared to be teetering on the brink of failure.

Rutgers defeating Purdue when they were ranked number 1 and undefeated has to be ranked as the greatest win .

As big as Purdue was, this game was a must have for many reasons. I’m so impressed with the resiliency of the program.

Their bad stretch happened at the worst time possible. But man do they always come back. That tells you how good the culture is in this program.

Couldn’t be more impressed with what I saw today. Mad respect.

Get by Purdue and we face either OSU or MSU. More manageable than the dreaded Hawkeyes!!

While it's hard to argue against beating #1 on the road, there is something to be said for the win today being more important, since it was essentially win or possibly go home (or go to Dayton) - we absolutely had to have today's win and we got it - and especially the way we got it, *****-slapping that friggin dbag coach and his team of 4/5 star crybabies into submission.
