Anyone else notice that trick play where Minny was under center, then Leidner went into shotgun and all the receivers shifted to trips right? We ended up with only two DBs in the area and one of the receivers released and ran down the field with no one on him. Luckily Leidner had heavy pressure and the play blew up, but someone down the road is bound to see that on film. I hope Banker works on that this week.

This is the same play that happened in the NFL last year. They split the O lineman to the far right, and even though he's not an eligible receiver, it freezes the safety and the receiver runs free. It was definitely WIDE OPEN and could have been a major swing in the game. It was definitely a WHEW moment.

Watch again when they split the Lineman out the LT (which was a TE) also runs a vertical route, that is why the other guy was open. Gerry noticed the eligible LT(TE) and went to cover him. That is the guy they were trying to get open, that is probably why Leidner did not notice the other receiver who was open.

Good for NG recognition of that. So many details average fan has no clue about. Thanks for bringing to our attention.
