Minooka field turf construction

So I was in the area and stopped in to the minooka field and as of this morning they were still working on the field. Looked like half the football field had limestone laid and the other half was just excavated. Is this normal timeline wise? Will it be ready by the start of season?

I have no idea what the steps are to put in field turf.

I've been watching daily...they actually didn't start until July 1st so I actually feel they've made pretty good progress taking into account the 4th holiday etc. I've been told once the limestone is down it's about a two week time frame until the field is in and good for use...so they are on target

Awesome thanks for the information. I'm sure that they were delayed a little with the rain we had in June. I might try to swing through there and watch them lay the main rubber and turf.

I have been monitoring the replacement of two turf fields in a suburb. The excavation and grading took the longest. Last Wednesday the area was all limestone. Tonight they finished laying the last pieces of turf and soccer/lacrosse lines. If it is a field turf brand project, I would imagine they will be sending that crew down to your field as they came to the park from Barrington HS. They must have had 30 guys out there last week cranking through the process.

Besides my hidden drone floating over it...I mean no
