with all the rules and regulations that go into the hiring of a new coach...who will be our minority interview and will even get a fair shot at the job. Buffalos head coach is getting a lot of attention with UT going straight for Kifflin

But I still think we should interview at least 1 minority candidate. Not because the BCA wants us to, but because we're unnecessarily limiting our pool of candidates if we don't.

amen..somebody elses' turn to take a chance....and the weather in Starkville is not accomodating to a guy who is used to Buffalo. As for Strong, don't believe he would like it either. No way.

I think he has potential to be special. I just don't think he's ready for prime time. No, state is not prime time, but the SEC is prime time.

you know how if you win certain tournaments you get exemptions and you automatically qualify for certain other tournaments for a long time. Well we just qualified for a 50 year exemption from having to get involved in this ******** again.

you may catch a little media flack, but there are not rules. We didn't interview a black coach before hiring Nutt

was hired....who was it? Thought that hire was done under the guise of nighttime where nobody had a chance to ask any questions.

....of the commissioner anymore when it comes to deciding who should be our head coach.

Should we consider a black coach? Absolutely, if there are qualified candidates. There's no reason not to. Should we hire another black coach? That should be entirely up to Byrne, and based on whether or not he's the best we can get. Should we feel obligated to hire another black coach? No way in hell. We're one of the very few who have given that opportunity and we should be exempt from feeling any pressure.
