Coach Walz has had a lead guard who could get her own shot for 12 years with Evans last year, Durr before her and Shoni before her.

He doesn't appear to have that on this team. HVL isn't athletic or quick enough. K. Smith is the next best chance but I don't think she has the ball handling to create her shots.

I mean Shoni, Asia and Dana knew how to get off their shots, many from deep.

1st game to early to make that assumption, both teams are playing a tough defense. I still don’t know why we would change our system.

I understand what your saying but let HVL get her feet under her as the primary shooter. She’ll figure it out and she’s made some tremendous shots in HS and on the USA team.

HVL will be fine. This was a tough Arizona team. So will Chelsie Hall.
Things toJwork on? Sure. AFTER ALL, WE'RE ONE GAME INTO THE SEASON.
Turnover too high and three-point shooting awful. it'll get better.
