I guarandamntee you a competent coach that knows how to teach could find ways to win with Shapen. Mullen could squeeze every drop of talent out of Shapen that he could.

Yeah but those last 4 offensive possessions were absolutely pathetic and some of that is squarely on Shapen.
It was on Shapen because the coach put it on Shapen. Every run being an RPO has to stop and you have to start calling runs from the sideline.
Shapen is an absolute woman of a man. But, the elephant in the room is that we let MVB slip away to a third world country school that may or may not ever play him.
