I live in AR so I am close enough to catch some of the showme's feelings on next year. Most of them think they are going to step in and compete next season. lol

It wouldn't surprise me to see them finish 3rd or so in the East. UGA will probably be cream of the crop next year with their cake schedule but they are a perennial underachiever. USC is likely still better than MU. I think UF is the wildcard as they should have the talent to compete for the East but will they do anything with it?

Whether that means Mizzou will have a good season remains to be seen, but I honestly think they'll be fine.

Mizzou will likely be better than KY, TN and Vandy. Now whether they can finish ahead of FL, SC or GA I don't know but I could easily see them finishing in the upper end of the East.

They have been a solid program for a while now.

This thread just reeks of elitism from those that think a team has to by default get a reality check just because they are coming into the SEC.

And this is just in football. They could easily compete with UK/Vandy/Florida next season in basketball and therefore be in the overall mix within the conference.

Yes, yes i know that football is all that matters and there is not good reason why, but that it is supposed to be the only measure of worth.
