Just placed my bet on Mizzou to cover. Took out a 2nd mortgage and bet my balls.....and your balls....and his balls.....everyone's balls. Ain't no way. We can't hang with Mizzou. We can't even hang with Vandy.

Season is over. The hype was fun but we're not going to win another game until the one before Clemson. And even that one is iffy' - probably.

And in all honesty, that is what needs to happen in order to force Beamer to hire some decent coaches. It is what it is.

Everyone better get their bets in now because that line is going to change.

Got mine in. They’re counting on Sellers playing and they bought the hype. Even with him we are garbage. If hes out? That line goes to -14.5 easily

I’m a huge Vegas gambler (table games), but I’ve never bet on sports. How do I place a bet for Mizzoo to cover? What would a $500 bet net me?

I’ve never placed a bet on anything - anything organized. This is so enticing, as noted above, it’s gotta be easy money!!

ANYTHING is possible when we have Sellers and Stewart healthy, so I am very hesitant, but I put $1000 on Mizzou. By far largest bet Ive ever made. But my gut says Beamer holds Sellers out to “save him for later”. But even with him, we lose by 14+ anyway

Save your money. These are young people that are going to have highs and lows. Remember how low our fanbase was after the Old Dominion game last year? Remember how well we played the following week in Kentucky? That is the reason I don't bet on college sports. It's less certainty in it. I'm not saying that 2025's version of the South Carolina Gamecocks is going to be a good team, but I know there is some good football somewhere within that team that has not been displayed as of yet. Can it be this week?

I think after 3 games you can pretty well tell what you have in a college football team. We haven't exactly steamrolled our 3 so called "easy" games to start the season. The VT and SC State games should have been laughers but they weren't and that said a lot. Sellers getting hurt was bad but Vandy already looked like the better team.

I'm sure Missouri is thinking about our miracle win last season and is wanting to repay us in spades to show who is the best of the rest in the SEC.

Nowhere in my previous post did I indicate that we were a good team or could even be a good team this year. What I did say is that college teams tend to have outlier games. In Shane Beamer's time, we tend to have 2 or 3 a season. So, I have no comfort in safely picking Gamecock games. Further, I don't know what to make of Missouri either. I think they had a good win against Kansas, but is Kansas any good. Picking on some of these college teams right now is like throwing money up in the air and hoping it falls back to you.

Amen to this. I won't bet on sports. Poker is more straightforward.

There isn't a kid on that team who wants to be the "best of the rest" and no way Drink frames it that way either. I'm sure they will want the revenge part.
