Nessler said they got tangled up. Kid put a forearm shiver into Hawkins' back.

nessler said they got "tangled up". i looked up and saw that hockey check hawk in the rib cage across the floor. the guy didn't make a play on the ball, it should have been a flagrant foul.

Yep, I guess they gave him the benefit of the doubt beings he tried to disguise it

Definitely looks like the guy threw a shoulder into DH's back for no real reason at all. I hate all the reviews to see if something is a flagrant foul but in this case it certainly seemed like a cheap shot.

Re: This should have been a FLAGRANT

Plays where someone intentionally tries to hurt other players should be reviewed and players should be retroactively punished. This kind of behavior should not go unnoticed by the SEC.

I like to think it will be reviewed but I really have no idea what the SEC policy on things like this is. All I know is that the cheap-shot was very unwarranted and completely uncalled for. Should have been a flagrant on the spot.

That was a nice football hit. Too bad this is basketball.

Kind of a bush league play IMO.

That's the same guy that hit Andrew Harrison in the nuts on that 3 point foul.

Quite obviously a shot at Hawkins without regard or effort for the ball. Hate to see Louisville ball make its way into the SEC. Sucks.

...and nessler made the comment during the replay. it was so ridiculous i actually laughed out load. the replay showed an obvious intentional hit...there was no "tangle up"....not even close.

When Cal says teams will take their best shot at us he really means SHOT. That's just BS and should have be a flagrant, this isn't football. The A&M players were horrible for that crap.

There was no replay but I would like to see if he intentionally hit andrew in the nuts. Andrew had something to say to him before he went to the line.

I didn't notice the intent live but after the reply I damn sure did.
Dirty SOB should have been T'ed up and tossed.

Will be interesting after UK reviews film if retribution takes place in the "Shoulder me State".

Thanks for posting the replay. I watched it so many times that I think it increased Hawkin's pain.

During the game, I didn't notice how blatant it was. Even in football, that would have been a 15 yard penalty.

Wow, I did not notice that during the game. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Props to Dom for not retaliating.

He definitely did it intentionally. He ran out at Andrew and instead of challenging with his hands high he punched in the jewels.

It's was definitely deliberate. Hawkins was ready to receive the ball on the fast break and the player knew it. Should have been an intentional foul.

Anyone know how to contact the sec office responsible for reviewing this sort of thing? That was an illegal block in the back even in football and has noplace at all on the hardwood. That mizz player should be punished retroactively as that was an intent to injure someone.

Sorry but this reminds me of the Louisville fan who said the right people are going to hear about this.

I attended the game and that wasn't the only shot they put on him, the first few times down the floor they were bumping him every time, don't know what their reasoning was but the time in question he just got tired of it and bumped back.
