Reading the articles on the St. Louis Dispatch, alot of the folks up there are really trying to get an SEC invite. It's a little north, but would give Arkansas what they have not had which is a true SEC rival. They also are fairly close to Ark, Ky and Tenn/Miss. They also have good facilities--winners in football and basketball of late, and seem to travel well. Even played a two game series with !$+% in football. I'd be for them getting into the conference.

I think we have much better options than them. I'd put them behind A&M, OU, and all the ACC schools that have been speculated on. Seems like we'd be expanding just for the sake of expanding if we added Missouri. With that said, all expansion decisions will be made with $$$$ in mind. How big of a following does Missouri have in the St. Louis & Kansas City markets?

And they travel pretty well win they're winning. They, along with A+M, would provide significant market upgrades, if added to the SEC.

Massive. Its Mizzou...they areTHEprogram in Missouri.
KU competes with them for the KC market, and so does KState. But the KC market is large and tons are Mizzou fans.
There are also a lot of Mizzou fans in Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, andDallas area.

1. They are THE program in the state.
2.They are the 17th most populous state (higher than Oklahoma).

If we went after ACC schools, I would go after Va Tech followed by UNC or NC State.

Teams I would not even consider that have been discussed on this and other boards: Baylor, Clemson, Ga Tech., W. Va.

Mizzou is a pretty good fit for the big10. It might be because they've been courting Mizzou for several years and Mizzou has repeatedly turned them down. But I'm really not sure...

that the Big 10 wanted Nebraska OR Missouri. After getting one or the other, they will try to add Pitt as #13, Rutgers as #14, Syracuse as #15, and Notre Dame as #16.

Nebraska was proactive in saying they would move w/o an "official" offer from the B10 while Mizzou wasn't. The B10 did not want to officially offer and get publicly turned down again like ND & other schools have done over time.

He agrees w/ Missouridawg....by delaying, Missouri may just be left out.
