The 1st MSU game I ever saw on TV, way back when it was rare to be on TV, was MSU vs Missouri. We lost.

We had just ***** slapped Florida 28-7 the week before in a game that was more like 62-7 with Cooks and Collins literally destroying Florida's offense. Missouri came in an physically manhandled our lines, so we couldn't run the option. John Bond tried to pass, but threw worse that Relf did 2 years ago, and we not only blew our ranking, but since the game was two unbeaten teams, ABC decided at halftime to switch the regional broadcast to a national one and most of the country saw how bad our offense was that we dropped 14 spots in the next poll to 19th!#!@#!

the guy was named Shorthose, pronounced Short-hose. A very unfortunate name.
