I was in Arkansas this past weekend and was talking to some Razorback fans and they told me that Mitch Mustain was considering leaving USC to come play at MSU his senior year. From what they told me was he could start this year because of all of USC's violations. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Good golfer, got in a little trouble for night putting. He should really help the men's golf program if he can stay out of trouble.

I thought I read somewhere this week that there is an SEC rule that says players can't transfer into the SEC if they have only one year of eligibility remaining AND have not yet graduated.

I'm not entirely sure about that, but that seems like it would keep Mustain from playing anywhere in the conference next year.

Am I making this up?

There's nothing that would lead me to believe that the guy would be able to transfer in, learn an offense DRASTICALLY different from the one he came from, and be immediately effective. If he could and wanted to transfer in knowing he'd be the backup QB, I'll take him, but you know he wouldn't do that.

I'm sure I'll get plenty of smart *** responses talking about how talented he is. Piss on that, I'm happy with Relf. He's a goof fit for our offense. If he fails, we'll develop our talented backup. Mustain isn't drastically better, in our offense, than anything we have currently. It's not worth the added stress of forcing him into the system and/or tweaking the system to adjust to him.

Obviously, he's only had one good year in the NFL... but he never saw the field at USC...

Mitch Mustain would be an improvement over what we have.</p>

....that MSU will desperately need a road SEC win next year, and that this particular QB has hatred and desire for revenge against one particular head coach on our road schedule like none other.

Vengeance FTW!!
