What they do us their business. Perhaps Pinkel needs the time off to deal with his own issues. Perhaps with all the distractions on campus they know their fans won't travel. Lots and lots of distractions to deal with in Columbia.

Mizzou would lose serious money accepting a bowl. They would end up eating most of their tickets and spend more than the revenue. Their fans are awful and very fickle. I know-- my wife is from St. Louis and went to school there. She is not happy with the current situation (the protests and drama- she could care less about sports).

What is the sence in them playing a game when they will be getting a new Coach and staff.

Much different for us with only having one year with Riley and his staff.

I saw something about one of the "official" reasons is it gives the assistants a chance to find new jobs without having to plan for a bowl game first.

Mizzou is the one school that it makes perfect sense to just decline ahead of time considering all their issues.

Those players got the system President and campus Chancellor removed. It takes a brave AD to eliminate a free trip for these same guys.
