Get that bag son.
I laugh when I see these overly cynical comments that it's all about money (as in, short term NIL). Obviously most of life is ultimately about money, that's why we all work, but you get my point.

First of all, everybody now has at least 15M or so to give, and your QB will be taken care of, if he's wanted.

Secondly, wasn't he a backup at the beginning of the season? If so, he probably wanted to be guaranteed to start, and wasn't.

Finally, it's still about the football and development needed to get to the next level at the end.

I had this long post planned out with counterpoints, but honestly, it is not worth it to explain the current landscape of college football is only about money if you do not already know that. I do thank you for the civil discourse as I do with everyone I chat with.

I’d like to counter that statement by saying these guys are more aware that their chance to make it to the NFL is slim than people give them credit. Knowing your NFL chances are very low increases the odds that you will make college decisions based almost solely on money. For the vast majority of players, NIL is the only money they will ever make from sports.

Agree but they still want to play. And Mizzou has not been shy about NIL. I still don’t buy that these guys are getting millions to sit the bench (like Kromenhoek). Which is why he’s in the portal - he wants to play and keep the dream alive.
