They are literally trying to do the same thing politically with Biden the Repubs did with Cochran in Ms.. Hide him and drag him across the finish line knowing he wouldn't/couldn't serve his full term. The Dem field of candidates was so bad they knew Biden was their only shot. Dawgg knows this as well as you and I AND most of the rest of the country, he's just so unhinged (like most Dems these days) he won't admit it .

Trump is one of those that says so much that I try to judge and pay more attention to what he does than what he says. Much like the Billy Bush comments, its the timing of the reports that makes some wonder.

There is truth in the idea that actions speak louder than words.
But leaders of industry and government is an exception since they speak so much. They are rightfully judged on what the say since they give speeches and interviews so frequently.

As for mentioning the timing of the Billy Bush report, what the 17 does it matter when it came out? It has him on tape boasting about trying to have an affair with a married woman(and being rejected) and being allowed to grab women by the ***** since he can do anything.
It doesn't matter if a recording like that comes out 1 year, 6 months, or 1 day before an election. Its a recording, its legit, and its worth listening to so we all can understand both his actions and words.

The other thing is, when the media has done nothing but blast the guy non stop for four years, exaggerating stories or reporting blatantly false information, why would I trust anything they say at this point?

The other thing is, when Trump has done nothing but blast the media for four years, exaggerating stories or declaring blatantly false information, why would I trust anything he says at this point?

Reality is wild. The same things can be said for him. How the 17 did we get here?

Why would he not blast the media? When they come after you so ruthlessly and unfairly, he absolutely should defend himself and call them out. Reality is not so wild.

Agree. Might be best to vote for best VP, and Pence is far more sane and centrist than Harris. Harris comes across as kind and gentle, but what she supports doesn't follow suit. Pence would be a good president and commander in chief.

I have seen nothing from Pence that makes me want to vote for him. I've also seen nothing from his that makes me want to vote against him. He just repeats what he is told to say to follow the white house's agenda, which is his job.
I certainly don't find him to be centrist, thats an odd adjective to use. As for his sanity, sure thst seems to be there.
Harris' sanity seems quite in tact as well, it seems like you just dislike her so you are saying her sanity isn't there.

We had a family conversation about this very concept last week. I told my kids how I couldn't bring myself to vote for McCain even though I thought he was a good person, because that crazy moron Palin would become president if McCain died, and he wasn't exactly a spring chicken. Oh my gosh, Palin as president?!?!
For the record, I voted for Paul in 08 because I couldn't get behind either major candidate.

Does all of this say more about how pathetic Trump is or how pathetic the Dem party must be if so many people still view him as the "lesser of two evils" ?

May not even make the top 10 worst things he's said.

But his sycophants don't give a ****. This is sports to them - "us" vs "them." Doesn't matter how awful he is as long as he has that magic (R).

And before anyone decides to "both sides" this comment, yeah, sure, both sides do this. But Trump's awfulness is on an entirely different level. This is the farthest extreme I've ever seen it go. He's a traitor that has people treating him like the greatest commander in chief ever. You have the religious right praising him as "Godly" when he's the living embodiment of all 7 deadly sins. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

If by "come after you ruthlessly"

you mean "confront him with facts while he throws a childish tantrum," then yeah the media is ruthless. Those big meanyheads, why don't they simply allow him to become an autocrat like his buddy Putin?

I agree the media focuses on him. I see it as self fulfilling on his part though. He makes unsubstantiated claims in interviews and briefings then argues when called out for inaccuracy. His administration constantly at best bumbles facts and at worst lies, then argues and refuses to be corrected.

I am guessing that really annoys a lot of journalists and so they show bias at times when reporting.
On the other side, other outlets are gushing towards Trump and his administration.

Your timeline is wrong. It started when he announced he’s running for president. That’s when it all changed, and it was clear as day.

Point out an administration that never lied or “bumbles facts”.

The only facts I care about are the economy was booming, violent crime was down, poverty was down, jobs were up, minorities were benefiting from the administration...but that’s not enough.

My family has done better these past 4 years than any other point in my lifetime.

BFB has a very keen political mind. I proved that in the Mississippi flag situation when i told you what the campaign needed to be: "This issue DEMANDS a full vote in the MS Legislature!" And a bunch of political novices continued to scream about how it was a terrible strategy because "they don't have and won't have the votes there!" So you can trust BFB on these things.

You ask what about Trump's past behavior indicates he isn't capable of saying something like that? I would ask you what about his behavior does? When has he ever gone and degraded his staunchest supporters, which the military in general WAS in 2016? I can' think of two semi-pertinent examples you might use and i will explain them. The first was when he said his supporters would vote for him even if he shot someone on 6th avenue in broad daylight or something like that. This was not intended to insult his voters but to commend them for their loyalty to him and the cause. It's certainly a narcissistic way of thinking about things, but that is 100% how he saw it...as a compliment!! Donald Trump values loyalty probably above all else. That is known fact. And the 2nd one, which i know where you are going, is that he said the same thing about John McCain, calling him a loser for getting captured. Despite what Trump is saying now, he DID say this about McCain and how he preferred soldiers who weren't captured. This was an incredibly dumb thing to say, both morally AND politically. But you have to understand the REASON he said it. I just told you, Trump values loyalty to Trump above all else. John McCain was NOT loyal to Trump and was not at all supportive of his presidential run. So Trump went grossly over the top in his criticism, giving the middle finger to the Republican establishment that detested him. But this was solely directed at McCain and in response to their petty feuding.

I maintain my initial claim as to what this is about. Trump loves the military common-man. Because certainly to date, they've been very loyal to him. They went big for him in 2016. And he made increased military funding, improvements to the VA, and reduction in military overseas presence a big part of his agenda. Why the heck would he denigrate them? It doesn't fit Trump's M.O. or profile at all!! Now if, the military common-man turns against him, and they're seen as what put Biden over the top or something like that, all bets are off. He'd then start to say dumb-*** stuff like what has been reported, but out of context.

inquiring minds would like to know...

He has had a contentious relationship with the press since well before he announced. It was even before the ******** birther controversy that he pushed so hard and continued with well after it was settled.

Hmm were you out of the country for the Kavanaugh hearings ? She came across as an unhinged nut job...the only thing that saved her was that Corey Booker was able to make an even bigger fool of himself and kinda steal the show.

I was speaking of her soft and gentle voice - not harsh and piercing like Hillary. If you don't pay attention to what she says, she might be likable. If you do, she's not.

It all depends - of the four (Trump, Pence, Biden, Harris), I like Pence the best and think he would be a better president. That's strictly personal opinion, and I suppose it's all a matter of what a person wants and their values. I don't think of Biden as being "evil" (Hillary was), but he's just not capable of standing the pressure of being president. He didn't fail to do some shady things for his son, however. He pretty much blows with the wind of what will get him votes, and it's obvious how he's jumped on the OAC/Squad bandwagon, when he must know that what they advocate would bankrupt the country. Riots, arson, and lootings have been going on in the country continuously for over 3 months now, and he's just recently (softly) come out against such goings on. Like it or not, at least Trump is transparent and you pretty much know where he stands.

The thing is people like Jennifer Griffin are getting confirmed stories from first hand sources and Griffin is one of the last few good tv news reporters left. It’s pretty damning to me. You can take from it what you will and yes, The Atlantic can be in my opinion a little questionable sometimes in their reporting but when others are saying the same thing it starts looking likely to have happened. At this point, with as much diarrhea of the mouth as he has, nothing surprises me.

I don't know who she is, but if she isn't getting people to go on the record, and somebody like Bolton who hates Trump and was there says it didn't happen, that seems pretty definitive. THere's not much you could allege Trump said that I wouldn't believe was at least possible, but it seems pretty clear based on the evidence available that this didn't happen, or at least not like the anonymous sources claim.

There's no doubt he annoys the media reps, and he does make unsubstantiated claims at times. But at least the aggressive questioning isn't rehearsed in advance.

I've got to wonder how Biden would do with real, unrehearsed questions from the media though. I don't think too well. And he's bound to face those sooner or later, and it might be before the election.

The Trump water toting is what gets me.
I voted for Bush in 2000 and, while I’ve voted for the Democratic candidate in every election since, I at least understood why people voted for Bush, McCain, and Romney.

I really can’t rationalize how an intelligent person looks at Donald Trump and says “yes, this is a person fully capable of handling the duties of President of the United States of America”. He was less qualified than Hillary (yeah yeah I know “but her emails!” “but Benghazi!” Blow me.) and is even less qualified than Biden (“but he sniffed hair!”). There are smart and capable Republicans out there, but some of y’all are tying yourselves to a total 17ing idiot.

It's pretty easy when the alternatives are Hillary and then Biden. Despite people wetting their pants everytime he says something stupid, we've mostly had a pretty competent, middle of the road republican administration. The only places that are **** shows right now are pretty much under exclusive democrat control or close to it. Until the CDC issued their eviction moratorium, despite not having any apparent personal attachment to separation of poweres or the constitution in general, this administration has abused executive authority less than Obama and Bush (didn't really pay attention to Clinton, so not sure how he compares to them). THe CDC eviction moratorium is as bad as Obama rewriting immigration law and worse than anything Bush did to my knowledge.

I think we should tarp ad the visitor side. Then start with each player being able to bring 5 family members. Throw in coaches families we are at like 600 spaced people. If nothing else it gives the players more to play for and Cohen has said in interviews he wants players families there. Anything past that is gravy, takes similar staffing to a HS game and we already have AD employees available just trying to keep their jobs.

Please read the recently completed, bipartisan, Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, then come back and explain why you think investigation into this matter was wasted time and money. Dont read summaries of the report, read the actual report.

Congress' mistake was in rushing to impeach Trump rather than fighting the administration's obstruction efforts and getting the information it needed.
Investigating was fine. All the BS about collusion and baseless claims was what was ridiculous and trying to act like Russians meddling was somehow Trump specific rather than just what they have done for decades.

I dont know enough about Harris. Forgive me if i don't pay much attention to what a handful on here claim she is, since those same posters are continually over the top in their claims for many current events.

If Harris is as evil as many here claim, then yes ill be very concerned since Biden isn't a spring chicken either.
As it is, I am not looking forward to voting for either Trump or Biden.

Palin was a truly awful pick. She was the worst of society, delivered in a semi-attractive package, which made her all the more damaging. She was a caricature overflowing with stereotypes. She was ill prepared and there is a direct line between her media circus on the campaign trail 12 years ago and what we are dealing with now in the Republican party.

We do have a lot of morons in this country but I don't think we have enough for the guy that calls our wounded and/or KIA veterans "losers" and "suckers" to win another term.

You have to be a bonafide moron to believe Trump said that. Seriously. Especially coming from an "anonymous" source and a media who can't make it a day without speculating how Trump will destroy the universe. I can understand your typical brainwashed miscreant suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome "believing" it for no other reason than that person's addiction to hating Trump, but TRULY believing it? You must be astronomically gullible.

You'd think people would know better by now.

Yeah, ill spend probably 5 hours over a couple weeks actually looking into her past and positions. She was basically a non-issue as a candidate so I didn't look into her then.
I'll read up on her using legitimate sites, decide what I like and dislike, and move on.

The election cycle doesn't need to be as drawn out as it is. I dont need to know about a vp more than a month before an election...****, the vp candidate wasn't even announced until a couple weeks ago.

I’d recommend watching her in the DNC. She was absolutely crushed. Couldn’t answer why she withheld evidence on a man sentenced to death until she was forced to, among other things.

I’m sure you’re aware of the married politician she was openly seeing.

Except MLB players could have zero interaction with the fans. SEC players would have contact with non-sec players if they play against them. I understand your point but I believe the safety message is that sec teams can control players better if they don’t interact with poor schools.
