MLB draft starts today

First round anyway.

Only guys that I think might be drafted as far as signees are Garner, Shelly, maybe Robson, and maybe Shempert.

I only expect us to lose Stratton. No seniors.

I expect Graveman, Norris and CT back next year.

as I was looking over this and trying to get an understanding of what MLB teams are doing

Why would a team take a unproven hs position player over a proven college hitter?

I would think you would want to draft a player that you expect to or know has a future in MLB, rather than taking a shot on a kid you hope reaches potential in 4 years. I know this can go a lot of different ways so I would say lets compare Byron Buxton and Mike Zunino. While Zunino is older and closer to his prime, we also know how legit he is. You would have to think the risk associated with drafting Buxton would make a team go with Zunino over him.

Maybe I just love Zunino more than most, but I think he is going to be unbelievable in the bigs.
