I like this kid alot. I think he could be a good one. He's a 3 star on both rivals and scout, but its seems like his stock is rising. Seems like a very physical guy, with fairly decent speed.

if he has indeed, it is a great pickup. But I will keep my hopes down since no one has yet to confirm it.

ripping anyone up, more of him chasing the ball, and the tackle being made before he got to the scene. Maybe he is a head cracker,, but the video did him no justice.

Any recruit that is from Memphis and good, will be recruited heavily by OM and UT and end up at UT. If you UT fills their needs, he goes to OM. Just the way it is and has always been.

officially timed. Thats not bad for a HS MLB really. I'd almost rather see a kid officially run a 4.7 than say he runs a 4.5, because they're normally a couple tenths of a second off when they 'report' it.

didn't have a kill switch. I didn't say the kid sucked, I just said that his video didn't do him any justice and his 40 time seemed a little off.

If the speed is actually laser timed, that is fairly fast for a LB, especially if he has decent size.

40 yard dash times for High School recruits are so ridiculous, I remember a 6'3" 270 lb DE saying he has 4.5 speed in an interview and telling the reporter he wanted to get it down to 4.4 before he got to college.

Its just ridiculous.

Patrick Willis was one of the fastest LB I have ever seen play and he ran between a 4.4 and 4.5.

James Laurenitis ran in the 4.7's last year and he was an All American and 2nd round pick.</p>

of what a MLB/LB should run in order to be successful in this league. I played in it.

Your first one said that you hoped that the 4.79 40 yard dash speed was a typo.

You said his video was not very impressive.

Now you are saying he looks faster than 4.79 in a video that you don't think is very impressive.

That doesn't address my point that even if the 4.79 is not a typo, that it is plenty fast for a LB in the SEC. I did not address his motor or skill set, just 40 time. My point being his 40 time is fine for SEC LB.

Mario Hagan is 6'3" now, according to the Denver Broncos. He could have lost a few inches since college, I guess.

per his HS coach, that's the fastest he's ever run for him and that was at 235 lbs.. who knows coming from his coach, though.

not look that impressive, because he never really hit anyone. Throughout the one that I saw he made like 3 tackles, and the rest he was just around the ball. The 4.79 40 looked to be a typo, because he looks like he has good, quick feet. I would imagine he runs better then a 4.79, and someone has stated that he does. By the way, I am not MRob71, but we played at MSU together.

If a team runs a sweep, the fullback will likely take on the OLB, do you think that MLB that runs a 4.8 is going to make the tackle at the los or behind the los on a rb that runs a 4.5 or better? Your MLB is a run stopper but he also has to clean up if the play gets turned inside, so his has to be able to make up ground because he is not going unabaded to make the tackle. He will have to fight off a guard or tackle that is looking to seal him off. Your MLB needs to be pretty quick to be successful in the SEC.
