The Cubs could not beat Omaha Northwest if it was for a championship. Still congratulations to Murphy great job

He should have caught a 95 mph fastball in the ribs his first at bat tonight. Dude was WAY too comfortable in the box this post-season.
Ya, that would have ended well. There were brush backs but not once did he grandstand.

I grew up following the Mets in the 80's. Doc Gooden, Strawberry, Dykstra, HoJo, Darling, Mookie Wilson, Gary Carter, Ojeda, Roger McDowell and Keith Hernandez. I loved those guys.

I started following late 90s. Unfortunately I was barely not around for the last title. 26 years of nothing good except for 2000. 2007 was a heartbreaker. Ready for some good times

I did after the trade deadline not at start of year, this is what makes baseball great. I actually had Mets and Jays after TDL

Hey, doesn't matter when you became a fan just as long as you are rooting for the good guys. Man it still stings when I think about the 2000 World Series, mostly because they lost too the EVIL EMPIRE.

I am a Ranger fan. Mets have best staring pitching though and will be really tough to beat. Prob pulling for KC at this point but Mets should be favored over either IMO.

Big HoJo fan here. But he struck out so much.

It will certainly be interesting to see how much the Yankees or Dodgers pay him for his success in the post season. Dude is going to make bank and probably end up being a bust for whomever signs him.

I was also wondering about Kevin Pillar, CF for Toronto. Besides the stacked line-up they paid millions for, he is a very solid, fast runner, fielder and hitter who is only getting better and better. Much respect for his game. I wonder who goes after him this season.

Being a Mets/Huskers fan I want to face Toronto... It will be extremely hard to root against Gordon!

I remember my freshman year of college when they were picked at the beginning of the year to win the world series and then blew a huge lead in September and missed the playoffs...it was like watching a bad car accident.
