these missed calls are helping determine the outcomes of games. Utley got awarded 1st when it didn't look like he got hit. Then he gets 2nd base when he's actually out on the play. Now instead of a man on 1st with 2 outs, you have 2 on with 1 out. Huge difference.
Just like last night. Blown call at puts a guy in scoring position. He scores. That turns out to be the only run of the game.

So we're supposed to think he took a 102 mph pitch off the hands and not even flinch?
Plus, a team that's had 72 errors all season has 4 in one night. It's the perfect storm of suck for the Reds this series.
I'm still not sure why Baker took out Rhodes when he did.
Like I said, they're screwed.
Downtown Cincy should be loads of fun Sunday afternoon with all the disappointed Reds fans and pissed off Bengals fans milling around.

arguing a possible missed call. These umps better get a grip on themselves - RoboUmp isn't that farfetched of an idea.

baseball can now be called from an armchair and a good HD TV with all the graphics that are now displayed; easy to call balls, strikes as well as foul balls, infield outs etc....Save lots of money to split among the already overpaid players. I bet that is what those Umps have that union for!! They are slowly becoming a dying breed. A few years from now it will all be automated.
