I was listening to a little bit of his calli in show. … LP is complaining about how physical the SEC is and that’s not real basketball in his eyes.

Made a point that Maurice Ugasuk neighbor was playing against a guy that was fully developed and muscular, which is not your typical basketball body. He believes slender like Maurice Ugasuk has a typical basketball body.

I don’t know when the last time Coach been to an NBA training camp or game, but all of those guys are tight ends and quarterbacks Running around on that court.

Not reading too much into it. I was just to try to hear him articulate his belief, especially when these guys are stronger and more athletic than they have ever been. How could you not know that already?

I did not hear this, but if indeed LP stated that the SEC is physical, then he would be shocked to see the physicality of the B1G and the BIG East (which is a sense of pride for that conference)

Coming from Bo Ryan's staff, this seems to go against how he cut his teeth in coaching. Those Ryan Wisconsin teams would just flat out bully opponents.

Basketball in general, and the SEC in particular, has been trending more physical for years. If you want to bring actual shooting back into it, bring back shooting common fouls so that the multiple people who can't hit free throws are too great a detriment to have out there as many minutes. At least the game would morph back toward basketball skill rather than sheer brawn.

It's odd that college is trending in one direction (more physical) and the NBA is trending in the opposite direction (3 point shooting league- less physical).

It's called off the court working of the refs. LP is fully aware of how physical the SEC is and he was an assistant at Wisconsin. The BIG is probably the most physical conference. Them or the Big East always have been. Out team got a poor whistle down the stretch in a couple games, especially the Vanderbilt game, and he address it without getting T'd up in a game.

That's what I have been telling people for the last 3-4 years. As far as how the game is called, College Basketball is becoming the NBA and the NBA is becoming College Basketball.

None of it matters bc we're stupid. I've never seen so many turnovers 20 games into a season. These guys continue to pick up their dribble without knowing where they're going next with the ball. Get double teamed and immediately turn it over at least 15x per game. Where's the coaching? I was taught at age 10 not to do that.

And don't get me started on free throws.
