Not true at all ... in fact the last time we had a balanced budget was under Clinton, and deficit spending decreased under Obama.

Refresh my memory. Post for me what year did Clinton propose a budget that didn't exceed anticipated revenues,(was in balance, with no deficit spending) and what year did Obama propose to spend less than what actually came in to pay for it?

I must have missed something along the way.

It seems the GOP is completely unconcerned about deficit or debt ... they cut taxes, and then start expensive wars without thinking of how to pay for it.
History is definitely not a strong point for you.

OK...I'll go with this new theme being expressed now by many Leftists on this board. I'll join you. We all now are for cutting spending and balancing budgets. Hallelujah!!!!!

So let's share some ideas on what we're going to cut. How much less do we reduce spending to get this budget in balance? We're not cutting any more from the Military, plenty of that went on under Obama while the rest of the budget exploded despite your claim in this post.

So now they should get the increases that were spread around the past 8 years throuought the rest of the bureaucracy and we're just going to start whacking all the rest of the waste right?

Let's hear it from you Leftists...what do you want to cut to get this budget in balance? There isn't one thing I'll disagree with you on outside of the Military...because we live in a dangerous world where people are trying to kill us.

They're not the problem with unneeded spending. And we don't have a revenue problem either so we don't need to raise taxes. We had record revenues last year. We have a spending problem.

So what gets cut from your precious social programs and alphabet soup agency siphons?
I think that boy has conquered "The Power of Positive Thinking". He really believes the swill that he is regurgitating. Libs believe in "investing" in programs with social values too much to ever be realistic about balanced spending. I balanced ever budget I ever prepared "on paper". Real life results are a different animal.

I believe congress actually offered those Clinton years of balanced budget. On the 3rd attempt , Clinton was convinced to lower welfare spending.
Obama did actually cut spending - a play on words. In reality he lowered spending ONLYfrom the first year he was in office when he added a trillion dollars to budget. He never had a deficit lower than the highest deficit by Bush. Got sorta close in his last year.
