Think this game shows that you can have all the talent in the world but if you overlook your opponents and not focused, this is the results you get. Win or lose, Monacan is deserving of that last playoff spot along with Powahtan.

Coach Henderson went deep in the playbook last night but they seemed to be unphased by that. None of our gimmicks really worked. Henderson called a crafty game though. If we played how we played last night we would have been a playoff team. I knew we would be a good tune up game for Huguenot. I am sure being 9-0 before the game, and without much resistance as of late, they were feeling themselves a bit. We have a few kids that can make plays if they get some space. I know coach Scott will likely want to clean up some things and they had a lot of drops last night. Ultimately didn't make much difference bc they usually would get back to it on the next play with a completion. Huguenot is very diverse offensively and they are not overly dependent on one or two players. Both of their tailback can score from anywhere if you don't get a hand on them early. They have a college level passing game. If I had to pick at them a bit I would say I have seen them a few times now and I feel like they should be better defensively than they are. Seems like they could be better at containment and maintaining their assignment defensively. They are too fast to run outside on, you won't win going east and west. It would be interesting to see them against a big bruising team that was built for a team like Huguenot. However, if you want to make it a track meet against the Falcons, good luck with that. Congrats to coach Scott and the Falcons on a perfect season in year two of his regime. I have been impressed with how they have carried themselves thus far. They have a lot of future college football players on that team yet they still have taken on a workmanship like personality.
