From an outsiders perspective, The W&L/West Point game is one I will be watching from afar. Curious how W&L bounces back this week and whether West Point is as good as their first game score indicated. Safe travels and good luck to the teams playing tonight.
I don't think that first game was a very good measuring stick, if you will, of either team.W&L played the measuring stick team in 1a and from what I am reading,didn't play awful.I think they will be in the hunt in the Northern Neck.West Point played a very young Rapp.county team. I think all the 1a schools in the Tidewater district maybe pretty close...in overall talent. I think it will come down to execution and staying healthy. Wishing all team's playing tonight a safe and injury free night.
Pretty much the entire eastern half of the state is playing tonight. The entirety of 1A Region A and a few teams from 1A Region B are slated to play.
So W&L didn't play awful but still lost 49-14. This is a measuring stick game for W&L bc if they can't beat this WP team then they imo will be fighting for 3rd-5th in the district.
I thought they played a very gritty game against Riverheads it’s tough to play Riverheads in a weeks preparations and never played against their offense before
