If you go back and read Ward's "recruiting diary" by speck, he was openly recruiting him. How in the hell does Ole Miss keep comming up in the conversation in an interview about Alabama or LSU unless dickhead reporter keeps bringing it up. You should see him at local ballgames he's covering huddled up with the other OM fans on the sidelines.
Pitiful.
A career Monroe Journal man is he.

Just sayin', but sometimes I wish our own fans were just as passionate as some of these rebel douches (probably the reason we think they are douches is because they like Ole Miss, like Shep Smith). Maybe if we'd quit running down our own school and start talking more positively about it, things like this wouldn't get you down.

is that they spit nails and breathe fire when it comes to recruiting and do every year and seemingly will pull out every stop behind the scenes to get a guy and crow about it (see the amount of Rebs that post and post a LOT here during recruiting that rarely come over during other times). Now these are the SAME fans that you can't hardly get out of the Grove and into the stadium during an actual game to support their team. So apparently Reb fans are primarily worried about winning two things, the party and recruiting. After that its all gravy.

we were tied going into the 4th. They wound up getting some garbage points at the end. Honestly we were outclassed, but played their butts off for 31/2 quarters. His article was awful. Gave us no credit for anything we did. I thought it was a valiant effort. He saw it as a floor mopping. I do have a lot of respect for these local guys having to try and write a non-biased article for the sake of the readers. Not this guy he is a moron. He was calling our kids out in the paper. Like they had no business on the field with Aberdeen.

State fan's reaction to the Ward commitment was and how things like this would "never happen at UMiss." How hypocritical is that? Do these people not remember all the BS rumors they started just last month about Quay Evans and the underage girl? NOTHING any State fan has said about Channing Ward can even come close to that... What about the Derek Pegues fiasco? The guy had to hold off his State commitment until signing day so Reb fans in SP wouldn't go lose their 17'n heads.

Remember when that idgit ACC ref tossed Stans early in the game versus the Bears? Some Meridian hack writer trashed Stans for it. The MSU fans got in such an uproar the paper apologized to Stansbury.

The lousy financial shape these newspapers are in leads me to believe they don't want to PO half their readership/advertisers. MSU fans in the area should gripe to the paper and to the businesses that advertise in the paper.
