Mooresville vs Weddington Week 1

Massey has Mooresville losing in this contest 36-14 in favor of Weddington

Mooresville will be strong on the offensive side with many guys returning including WRs; RBs and QB and a solid 3/4 guys returning on the O line - Defensively - Mooresville has loss a good bit but transfers and a new DC look to keep the Defense going strong.

We know Weddington D is very strong but how will their offensive be? They have a solid Coach and Weddington will be ready

This game will be mainly about Mooresville Offense vs Weddington Top tier Defense which has led the way for the Warriors. Weddington Offense is OK but its strong point is Defense. Mooresville D should handle the Offense of Weddington (jn my opinion) but Can the Mooresville Offense play well enough to win or keep it close.

As we seen in Last yr playoff lost to East Forsyth, Mooresville was the better team but ultimately loss due to leaving 10-14 pts off the board in the early stages of the first half of the game. Mooresville will have be more efficient on the offensive side of the ball vs a top ranked Defense.

I have faith in our OL this yr we have a solid core returning, i believe we got 2-3 guy started all yr long back n 2 guys that rotated in and out so I feel like we have a strong core but this is a week 1 game so Anything can happen so

I know this is a Mooresville and Weddington thread but I didn’t want to start a new thread for this but seen that Kaden Craft of Lake Norman got D1 offer from Auburn. Lake Norman may not win the conference this year but two more years of Craft they may well have a good shot at winning it. Fun times are ahead for North Piedmont conference. Of coures Mooresville and Lake Norman are rivals. Anything can happen.

Now since scrimmages are over. What are your thoughts with Mooresville and Weddington game next week. Hard to tell for me. But if I was to take a guess I don’t see lot of scoring with this game. 14-10 or maybe 17-10 at most type of game. I think this has potential to be a good one. I seen Mooresville scrimmage but not Weddington so hard to tell as of now.

I have 2 issues

Defense didnt look bad. It was primarily offensive issue so i think it would be a low score affair bc Both offenses are the weak link per say bc Both teams have had very strong defenses in last 5 years

JV action tomorrow evening with Weddington at Mooresville. Mooresville JVs looked good in the 2 scrimmages they had. Looking back at Weddington the last 2 years they were undefeated last year and only lost 1 year before last. And that was to South Pointe S.C. I look for tomorrow to be a very good game between the 2 teams.
