Yeah, I know it's just piling on at this point, but here goes. If the stat I read is accurate, we have scored 10 offensive TDs this season. To put that into perspective, here's what some other team's offenses have done in single games:
  • ND: 7 TDs against Arkansas
  • UVA: 6 TDs against Stanford
  • IU: 8 TDs against then #9 (current #23) Illinois
  • UT: 9 TDs against ETSU
  • Vandy: 6 TDs against CSU
  • Oregon: 10 TDs against Oregon State (6 in first half
Our single-game peak output on the season was 3 offensive TDs against UK, and that felt like an offensive renaissance.

7 games. 10 TDs. As another poster said yesterday, you'd think our offense could accidentally be better than what it has shown. We'd have to go Shakespearean and invent new words to describe this offense. The closest existing word is "anemic" but even that falls short of describing 10 TDs in 7 games.

I'm sure he is a fine human being, but I really dislike Shula as a coach.

The worst thing about this is that when he was promoted last year half of all SC fans thought (and said) WTAF!!

Dude, your upset, we all are, but for your mental health, sit back, enjoy your favorite beverage, read a book, watch a movie, or listen to your favorite artist. Take your mind off this nasty state of affairs for an evening.

Let's not pretend like this is new in the Beamer era.

When has the OL been good?

When have we been better than half the SEC in rushing?

When have we not been in the bottom 4 in the SEC in sacks allowed?

This is Beamer Ball. Not gonna change without some big changes in the coaches' room. And, btw, what's the incentive to do better? $8 million/year to be last in almost every offensive category with a huge buyout. It's time to structure some of these contracts the way the real world works, ffs!

Your concern is duly noted! Believe it or not, I compartmentalize pretty well. I do not live in a college football area and have no other Gamecock fans around, so this forum is the full extent of my CFB discussion.

I am mystified, though, at just how bad our offense is.

With only 7 tds
Our D and ST have more TDs than our offense has red zone TDs.

This Shula offense is like the old onion analogy. The more layers you peel, you get more stinky layers. There's literally not one thing we do well on offense. We actually have a pretty high yards/pass attempt, but we don't use the pass much so the one area where we are actually statistically solid, we don't utilize it.
