Repeatedly said I have no problem with the Franklin firing. To the contrary, the “We Deserve Better” crowd are clueless clowns who will be clamoring to fire whoever Kraft hires after the team’s first three and out. Both sides are ridiculous. We don't "deserve" anything but Franklin reached his ceiling and had to go--see Georgia with Smart. Or the Eagles with Reid. Doesn't mean they're not great coaches but change was needed. Good be a disaster--hopefully it's great.
I do disagree though because at least those that think we deserve better are focused on the future not the past
Oh yeah let’s ask the thin skinned egomaniac who planned to parlay the Penn State gig into an NFL job from the minute he stepped on campus and disgracefully tried to blame his taking the first NFL job he was offered on “JoeBOTs”. You know those persons who brought lawsuits which forced the NCAA to revoke some of their improper sanctions, including scholarship reductions. O’Brien’s job was to coach the team and STFU about those actions which he would have benefitted from had he stayed.Ask O'Brien
We knew from day one what his plan was. Not sure why you or anyone have an issue with that.Oh yeah let’s ask the thin skinned egomaniac who planned to parlay the Penn State gig into an NFL job from the minute he stepped on campus and disgracefully tried to blame his taking the first NFL job he was offered on “JoeBOTs”. Check out ALL the de-commits from PSU,and then compare the numbers with other schools! Very strange! If it walks like a duck and looks....... well, you can finish it! Its called circumstantial evidence. Ask sandusky about it.How about if you document this alleged FACT. I’ll wait.
So in other words, you're trying to connect the dots and come up with a reason for it...and then present that reason as a FACT?Check out ALL the de-commits from PSU,and then compare the numbers with other schools! Actually it’s called figment of your imagination.Check out ALL the de-commits from PSU,and then compare the numbers with other schools! Very strange! If it walks like a duck and looks....... well, you can finish it! Its called circumstantial evidence. Ask sandusky about it.
I never said I begrudged him doing what he did just trying to blame his departure on alleged JoeBOTs. Yes his job was to coach and stop whining about those who didn’t support him and maybe if he had stayed and done his job he would have changed their minds. I know lots of alleged JoeBOTs who supported him and Franklin. While I don’t endorse Smith for head coach those who support him are not doing so merely because he wore a pin honoring Paterno but because of the team’s performance after Franklin’s firing. They also don’t get triggered and have an absolute melt down simply because Smith wore that pin like many of his detractors. We knew from day one what his plan was. Not sure why you or anyone have an issue with that.
The JoeBots aren't the ones that fought the sanctions--they're the ones that can't let it go and want Terry Smith to be our coach because he wore a pin
His job wasn't to shut up about a fan base that wasn't supportive because they were focused on the past.
He didn't blame them for the departure. He simply was stating the obstacles that existed with that role.I never said I begrudged him doing what he did just trying to blame his departure on alleged JoeBOTs. People were never changing their minds. Unless Bradley or LJ or maybe Golden replaced Joe they were never going to be accepted.
They are 100% doing so simply because of his ties to the past.
There's no meltdown. You seem to think stating something is flipping out about it. Smith can wear whatever he wants for whatever reason he wants. Some will support it while others will see through it.
I love that he wore the pin, but don't want him as head coach, there can definitely be distinctions. We knew from day one what his plan was. Not sure why you or anyone have an issue with that.

Which is a normal, reasonable reaction.I love that he wore the pin, but don't want him as head coach, there can definitely be distinctions.
This thread is Pure Hilarity….If that's how you feel, put him on ignore and don't interact with him. It's not a cure-all but it's better than the alternative. The way I see it, he thrives on antagonizing people so if you take that away his whole raison d'etre for being here disappears. "He ruined the other board," we're not going to allow that to happen here, are we?
He did act like a professional. He's the AD for Penn State, it's his job to act like PSU is the greatest athletic program in the world where championships are an expectation, and to take steps to make that a reality.Me I was expecting him to act like a professional and simply say it was time t move on. Time for Krafty to walk the walk and back up his big talk.
so,if coach X is seen in S.C. walking near the campus and his wife is visiting a local real estate office.??.. CONNECT YOUR DOTS!So in other words, you're trying to connect the dots and come up with a reason for it...and then present that reason as a FACT?
I’d say “my guess is that coach x is in the mix for the PSU job”. Saying “it’s a FACT that coach x was offered the PSU job” would be wrong.so,if coach X is seen in S.C. walking near the campus and his wife is visiting a local real estate office.??.. CONNECT YOUR DOTS!
I see your pointI’d say “my guess is that coach x is in the mix for the PSU job”. Saying “it’s a FACT that coach x was offered the PSU job” would be wrong.
Did this a while ago and trust me, the thread is better reading now. I did want to ask - if he has all the answers, don’t wait, tell us now who Kraft has inked to a deal.If that's how you feel, put him on ignore and don't interact with him. Precisely. Apparently that’s too difficult a concept for some to understand and/or find offensive.I love that he wore the pin, but don't want him as head coach, there can definitely be distinctions.
He didn't. He correctly criticized themWrong. He did blame them.

Tim Manoa? Al Pola?Does anyone really believe that these Tongans with all the existing culture and activities in Utah are really going to relocate to Central PA? Folks say that recruits dont want to come here b/c it’s in the middle of nowhere and now the whole BYU roster is going to relocate to PSU? Thats why his name feels like a plant job.
Which is a normal, reasonable reaction.
The issue is there's no one that wants him to be the next head coach that isn't pushing that because of his ties to Paterno. Not a single fan. The players just want the guy they know--especially since he's clearly a players coach which we know how that ends.
As per usual you are wrong again. The 🫏’s job was to coach the team. If he didn’t understand that it would be difficult to replace a coaching legend then he is more stupid than arrogant and I didn’t think that was possible. I don’t want to be lectured on what an egomaniac carpet bagger thinks is proper fan behavior. Thank God the poor baby never coached the Eagles. He didn't. He correctly criticized them
We've had a few in the past. I can think of 3 possibly 4.Does anyone really believe that these Tongans with all the existing culture and activities in Utah are really going to relocate to Central PA? Paterno fans (not Penn State fans--there's a difference) are far worse than Eagles fans but a lot of them are the same people so...As per usual you are wrong again. The 🫏’s job was to coach the team. I doubt they like snow and ice.Imagine all those massive 300 + pound Tongans
Without Paterno, there would be nothing to be a fan of…Paterno fans (not Penn State fans--there's a difference) are far worse than Eagles fans but a lot of them are the same people so...
