You think the board is doing anything more than rubber stamping something Kraft sends their way? Of course they’d approve it.
I sure wouldnt lose Chesney over Knowles. Ultimately he is chump change. And if Terry is that much of a speed bump, id kick him to the curb as well. Either get on the new train or get the **** out of the road.
Unless there is a huge name we dont know about, lets get Chesney in here. Hand him the keys. And hope he kicks some ***.
I am just stunned that people on this board have any inside info. Like who would leak information on an interview? I mean is Kraft texting people like.. "yeah I interviewed Chesney and it went like this..." What? To believe this is to say people on this board are friendly enough with Kraft or with some big booster or some BOT member who Kraft is consulting with. That is a very small group and I'm sure very tight lipped and I don't find it believable that anyone on this board has connections like that.

I’ve heard this a few times: “he didn’t interview well”. The guy wins games. What type of questions are asked that makes the interview bad? Just asking for enlightenment

I haven't heard anything about the quality of the interviews but remember it's not just Kraft doing them and people talk. Our search has been less discussed than most.
Most Kraft has had many conversations with many people and "true insiders" like Tom, hear things. And some of us have "friends" that are in situations like that where they hear things.
People seem to believe Landon T & AB but they have no more insight than probably half a dozen of us--in fact, they may be talking to some of the same people.
And, yes, a lot of information is leaked that is untrue for a reason but I've been told throughout the job was Elko's if he wanted it but they'd continue to discuss with Urban and Hartline. I've heard nothing that changes so far.
If Kraft is stipulating the new coach has to keep anyone then he needs to be fired.
Counterpoint: there are 100%, absolutely, without a doubt people on this board who either are close with members of the BOT ,or are close with people close enough to it, that Kraft has conferred with after interviews.
The funny thing is that the pay board on another site has an actual BOT member post about the goings on all the time and another person close to a board member but not on it chimes in correcting him.
Nobody on this board has actual info. If they do, you won't find it here. Its all speculation, guessing, and more bullsheet than the average Bushwood post.
I believe Landon’s Bobby Engram scoop since he has the pretty direct connection to him. But I question how much he knows about everything else that’s happening (or how much anyone knows).
Are you saying Urban is in the running for the job or they are talking with Urban as part of a deal with Hartline?
Let us know when the supposed insiders actually have info that wasn't posted on ten other boards. . Ask them who is going to be the next coach? Who is the unnamed target?
With Elko out of play, if Urban wants the job he just needs to make a phone call to Kraft.
Aside from that, I would hope the announcement would have been made already if that were the case.

He had not won two in a row 3 weeks ago with the team looking much better. Nevertheless, I don't think Terry is getting the job but now I'm thinking if he doesn't get it then he is not sticking around. I'm sure Kraft is working a contingency when or if that happens. We need to replace (well) his PA recruiting and his CB coaching.

Stoops wasn't the name of the PA guy I heard rumored--maybe Stoops is in play now...who knows at this point.
I think since 2016 (at least at Oklahoma) and he is 65 years old. Seems old and out of the loop to me. And did they play defense when he was coaching the Sooners? That option doesn't excite me either.
