90% of my posts are about the FACT bowls games are antiquated and no longer have meaning? 90%? Might want to research that.
With all the 'kookery' with NIL and coaches as hired guns, I think I am going to enjoy watching bowl games. Two teams on the field . both want to win . Break it down to the most basic components and enjoy . I have actually watched a lot of other games this year because our coaching staff was a failure. I seem to even enjoy watching our games more without the BS over realistic hype train we began the season with . As an aside , I haven't stated my opinion on the CJF firing , for what it's worth here you go: #1 and 1a , 1c ...... 1..... James Franklin fought hard for what he wanted and envisioned for Penn State football. He believed what was good for one is good for all and I think he did a lot of real good things for the structure of the program . I think he was ' OBVIOUSLY' stubborn. 1A....... James and Kraft had an antagonistic element to their relationship that may tell a story. Whether that was NIL .......James wanting to continue to push the ceiling for salary , or just some chemistry I would like many, have no idea. From the outside , I have a hunch there is something to this . 1c .....for reasons above , James lost faith: maybe he got heat for not spending the $$$ on recruits like Joey O' Brian etc and all the big ones we lost , and that burned the fans and Kraft . Faith in retention plan until ? AND the grand finale James lost the team after all the hype, he didn't dig into the trenches , kick some ***, take names , numbers etc....... And by doing so I think it was a moment where he and many knew the problem for the program at that moment was .............. him and he' the boss , and he's accountable #1 .
The day Franklin was accountable , he was fired.
'Obviously' I have no inside information. Hmmm
