I am referring to Terry. You would rather have Terry than a tenured head coach who has enjoyed a lot of success. The same Terry that blew the Indiana game and has continued a mentor relationship with effing James Franklin. The Terry that has lost the entire recruiting class. That is the candidate that you would want.
I must have missed that. I did hear him say that he took responsibility for the losses and that he was going to fix it the day before Kraft fired him.
Got hammered by Texas Tech and the haters were complaining about Franklin losing to OSU.
I think many wouldn’t be enamored if he is hired because he has spent most of his career coaching in Utah, has no ties to this area and most likely would have difficulty coaching here. Why are you engaging in race baiting?

Oh so now Sitake is a great coach huh? What conference does BYU play in Big Guy? How did he do against Texas Tech this year which last I checked isn’t exactly OSU. So he lost badly to the only Top Ten team he faced. Isn’t that why Kraft said Franklin was fired? How the hell do you know whether Sitake can recruit players from Philly or this geographic area when he has never done so before? If he gets hired, I hope he is in fact the home run hire Kraft essentially promised since as a life long Penn State fan I always support the team but at this point if Sitake is hired it appears that Kraft had to settle for him.

I was listening to XM radio yesterday and Rick Neuheisel was talking about the Ole Miss/Kiffin/LSU situation, but it applies to PSU as well. He said that portal/NIL discussions are happening now. The portal doesn’t open until Jan 2 but those discussions happen immediately after the regular season ends. That’s not good news for a PSU program with no head coach. We would be naive to think that other programs aren’t reaching out to the current PSU roster.

Pat should have been focusing on the hire 50 days ago. If he is still interviewing potential hires now, he has failed miserably.
Umm this has been known since Franklin was fired. But you have to remember that the new coach is also having discussions with players that will be in the portal. It didn't matter when Franklin was fired this was going to be an issue IF we are hiring a coach with integrity that is still coach his team.
It matters because PSU has no HC at this moment and the current roster is open to poaching. With the 2026 recruiting class being a complete loss, it matters a lot.
So you're saying that we should hire a lesser candidate because of this? Again this was all known when JF was fired. And if he was fired this past Sunday it would be the exact same situation.
No, I’m saying Kraft had 50 days to figure this out and get his guy and here we are at national signing day with no head coach and the current roster is currently fielding offers to leave. PSU is the only P4 program without a coach. Not a good look for Kraft.

How do you know he doesn't have it figured out? So you want a coach like Kiffin who is going to abandon his team playing for a Conference Championship? If that's not the case then you want him to settle. Like I said all of this was known when he fired JF. Guess what, they would be fielding offers if we had a head coach in place or if he didn't fire Franklin until Sunday. Kraft knows the Portal is more important than signing day in CFB today and the door does swing both ways. Mississippi had 31 kids transfer in last year including the QB.
