I agree...I really feel like both programs are going to win this first one...Houston Nutt is going to have the Rebels ready to play, and after Mississippi States season and all of the positive things I have heard about the off season State is going to roll La Tech....but Goat Holder your right, and that is why games are played on the field and not on paper

the hypocrisy of that post just made me snap.

I know that not all of you are Dicky worshipers. Most. But, not all.

Edit: And then there is that whole Rich man thing -- you know, where you are trying to assume my sixpack personae.

Memphis treats our game like the super bowl and always play us close. I don't think either or us will lose, but we've got a much better chance of losing that game than State does to La Tech. </p>

I agree that due to familiarity, Memphis has a better shot at us than La. Tech does at MSU. However, from what people are saying on here, it sounds like La. Tech has the MSU game circled on their calendars as well, along with getting that surprise QB transfer from Georgia Tech.

I really doubt we lose for a handful of reasons, and I really doubt MSU loses as well. Both games will have double digit lines for a reason. However, neither game is a 100% lock.

besides the points you mention, is that with our offense points are very hard to come by. Which will probably keep the MSU-LT game close. In a close game, there's more chance for LT to get a lucky play or a lucky break and possibly win the game. And, as you mention, this will be like their Super Bowl. Probably the biggest non-conference true home game they've ever played (they have played a few bigger "home" games in Shreveport though).

(at least I didn't think I needed to). We are both far more talented than our opponents. This guy simply says "ole miss will lose" with no explanation. Certainly you can see that picking a double digit underdog to win on the road with no explanation is not the same as saying that the favored team won't be upset.

Seeing that reply and hating that I had no idea what I was talking about

OR

Remembering the optimism that had me so ready for this football season.
