More proof that we should play a cupcake OOC schedule.

more proof that in year 5 of the current HC, maybe it's time to find out that he's not all he's cracked up to be and propping up our 6-6 record with 4 cupcakes, kentucky, and whatever SEC programs melts down for the season only masks the truth.

Good point, but I would still rather see a cupcake OC schedule. I doubt State will ever get to the point of being able to schedule the tougher OC teams.

Mullen is a snake oil salesman. He talks the talk, but can't back it up. Then he stands and pouts like a child when things don't go his way in the game. The offense today was embarrassing, and that is on Dan. I don't care who the OC is, this is Dan's offense. He was hired because he promised an exciting offense, and this was anything but. It was very Croomish.

People need to realize that we aren't elite and never have been and never will be. At this point it would be idiotic to fire Mullen.

Exactly....why schedule a top 15 team when...

we'll already play at least three maybe four top 15 teams. We could have scheduled Kansas or Iowa State if we want a Big 12 opponent. This was stupid.

We'll probably play at least three or four top TEN teams, and of those, most likely a couple top 5 and the #1 in the country (but Alabama is having offensive trouble at the moment. Would be in trouble without a couple of runbacks for TDs).

Now that I've moved away and live in a town full of alumni from every school in America I really like the idea of playing these types of games... we just need to bring a coaching staff that wasn't loaned from a football program that was founded in 2009 next time.

Playing a ranked team NOT picked to win their conference would be nice too. Something like this WSU-AUB matchup would be nice.

What? You need to get laid gangbang.

We would all be talking about our nine win season if we just rolled Memphis. We were not ready for this.

So, if I asked you in 2009: "Do you think scheduling a "week 1 bowl game" in 2013 is a good idea if we average 8 wins per year and go to three straight bowl games over than period?" you would have said no? I don't think so.

We have to push ourselves to take the next step. We have to.

We sure flipped OM fans alot of **** about "Only The Birmingham Bowl!" for us to act like it's so important today.

If we score 14 points today, everyone considers it a win. Your complaint should be directed at everyone associated with MSU offense rather than Scott Stricklin.

No I would have said the same thing because that's always been my philosophy. With the amount of power and money that the other schools in the SECW have, there's very little wiggle room to push us any further up the ladder.

yeah, but check out all the badass exposure we got. gameday talked about this game for 12 seconds and we get a 30 second recap tonight showing how inept we are. those 15 k at reliant probably had a good time that first half before we went all mississippi state on them.

we are the dumbest fanbase in america. how we are not a sub .400 team all-time, ill never know.
