Southeastern Conference honks have been clamoring for Florida and Alabama to play twice - first in the SEC title game and then a rematch for the BCS title. These are the same people who brought us a bunch of farmers driving around a circle that eventually evolved into something called NASCAR.

I hate that our penalty controversy is giving guys like this an opporunity to knock the SEC.

I hate the SEC has brought this upon itself. I do not hate people for seeing it as it is. In fact, I appreciate that people are seeing this as it is. And I hope Mike Slive is ridiculed and embarassed to the point that there is urgency to fix the SEC's officiating problems.

How damn hard would it be to sit all the officials in one room in an emergency meeting this week tell tell them to call a fair game (un-doing any fix if there actually is a fix) and especially going over some replays to talk about what "indisputable evidence" means.

I think the core problem could be that replay officials have some insane standard for what "indisputable evidence" means.

I didn't mean the SEC offiicials - just the unnecessary swipe at the fan base as being farmers. I thought that was cheap and stupid of the writer.

definitely something from the SEC. More broad generalizations of the south.
That guy can't even get his insults right. NASCAR was started and is still headquartered in the heart of ACC country.
