Running Backs – Ole Miss' Dexter McCluster is the talk of the town in Mobile this week. The quick and explosive back has displayed outstanding speed and agility in the open field and has excited coaches who can't wait to figure out ways to get the ball into his hands. McCluster may be one of the biggest risers of the entire Senior Bowl and could end up going as high as the second or third round. Mississippi State's Anthony Dixon is an enormous back who has the combination of size, speed, strength, and agility that scouts look for in a starting running back in the NFL. Many expect him to go in the second or third round as well. Among the other running backs in attendance, USC's Stafon Johnson looks a bit rusty after suffering the freak weight room accident that he had earlier in the year

That guy was a one-man wrecking crew for OM. Concerns about durability and fumbling will be there, but there's no doubt he's the most explosive back I saw all year of watching college football.

one of the biggest boosts he'll get from going to the Senior Bowl is being able to show NFL coaches how easily he picks things up. He's very coachable, which will help him a lot, aside from just being a football player.

ETA: By "football player" I mean just a natural for the game. Some guys are great athletes that consequently do well at a position. Others just have a knack for the game period. He's one of those.

like the Saints use Reggie Bush or the Vikings use Percy Harvin- as a WR/RB/KR.

I think at worst he's a good kick return specialist.

regarding Anthony Dixon...

"best RB here" he then pointed out off field issues. I'm assuming that he meant the Brut fueld night of drunken driving. Don't see that as a big issue though.

Jamar Chaney...

"had a solid week. Good thumper in run periods. Athletic in coverage."</p>
