More surprising SEC Tournament run: this year or last year?

I say last year, easily (so far at least). But I could be wrong:
As amazing as Mississippi
State
's run through the SEC tournament was last season, a repeat
performance would represent a far bigger shocker. The SEC was so weak
last season that Mississippi State didn't have to worry about beating a
national title contender on its way to earning the league's automatic
bid. That's not the case this time.
wait, the SEC was down last year? Why hasn't this been mentioned before?

given there was no team in the SEC last year anywhere near as good as the Kentucky team this year.

Although beating UK would be a bigger upset than beating UT last year, nothing we've done so far is on par with beating LSU in last year's tournament. Plus the whole "4 games/4days" thing, which never happens.<div>
