The so-called QB battle never even developed this past spring, largely due to Relf's continued improvement in the passing game. I don't think it's out of line to say Relf should continue to improve his passing this summer through voluntary passing with the WRs, further widening the gap between he and Russell. Factor in that we can actually run the ball from the QB position with Relf, a staple in Mullen's version of the spread, and we'll easily win more games with Relf at QB this season. I'd be shocked if Russell takes more than 20-25% of the total snaps this fall, barring injury to Relf.
