That year they had an interesting line. The '84 line had five seniors so the '85 line was all new. Lewis was an All-American at Center even though he started just that one year. Brain Blankenship (Omaha?) was a walk on guard who had a bit of an NFL career with the Steelers. Stan Parker started the year as the other guard. When he got hurt, John McCormick took over and became an All-American two year later. Tom Welter, the RT was a redshirt junior and Tim Roth, the left tackle (another walk-on) was only about 6'0 tall.
