I haven't seen this mentioned. I had heard Morrow would potentially be an impact player this year. I'm guessing he is red shirting after not seeing him at Memphis. What True Freshman played? I saw PJ Jones, Arrington, and Slay(Juco). Were there any others?

Heprobablywill. But if he doesn't,that'sa good thing for several reasons. A) Mullins thinks we are good enough without him. B) the extra year of practice and eligibility.<div>
</div><div>I think you are right about the 3 true freshman who played. I don't remember seeing anyone others in the game. </div>

this year, and 23-24 of them were 5th yearguys. That's how you keep a program working...

They told him either earlier in the day or the day before the game that he would not play against Memphis.

Right now, we have Wide Receivers coming out our gills. But we missed on all our "big WR" targets last year except for Morrow. And we missed on Jason Croom this year. So I think we're going to need Morrow a lot more in 2015 than in 2011. Unless he's just that much better than our other WR's on the 2-deep depth chart, I say redshirt him.

That is amazing to hear at M-State. We've had some very good ones over the years with Moulds, Truitt, Love, McDole, and Jenkins his senior year. But the depth we have there is better than I ever remember.

than we did under Jackie and Croom- and probably any other MSU coach as well.

Or really, we utilize ATH more- we use slot WR's a lot as part of our offense.

I'm not sure where or how we would have used guys like Bumphis, Heavens, Jameon Lewis and etc. in the past, but we would have either made them running backs like Robert Isaac or DB's like we did with Pegues.

I also think that we coach our WR's better than at any other time I can remember at MSU.

The dominant Nebraska teams in the 90's were built the same way. Most of them were 5th year seniors, especially on the offensive line.

Looking at our Top 6 guys, we've got one 5'9", three 5'10" guys, one 6'0" guy, and Chris Smith leads the pack at 6'2". Even Marcus Green is only listed at 6'1". I agree that we have a lot of good athletes at receiver and there are more waiting in the wings, but it would be nice to have a big target or two like Morrow to throw to inside the 20. Maybe Mullen is just that confident with our running game when we get close.
