At a briefing Friday afternoon, Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson confirmed Kohberger is a graduate student at Washington State University and has an apartment in Pullman, Washington.
He went home to his parents’ house in Albrightsville, PA. He was arrested there at 3 a.m. I can’t imagine the shock his parents felt.

The suspect arrested is a different guy. Per law enforcement (LE), the guy in the video, aka "Hoodie Guy/HG", has been identified and is not considered to be a person of interest at this time.
LE announced the above a couple weeks ago, and now we have an arrest of an entirely different individual.
Chances are the poor kid (aka Hoodie Guy) in the video had nothing to do with this crime yet his name and picture have been plastured everywhere, some even accusing him of other unsolved & unrelated crimes in the area. The mob has been out full force on this one.

He was at WSU for only one semester and came from a college in Pennsylvania. He appears to have lived in PA for most of his life. Per CNN, it appears that he finished the semester at WSU and then drove home to his parents' house in PA for Christmas. That is not exactly someone with deep roots at the University of Idaho or in Moscow, Idaho.
As to whether he is a serial killer, that is too soon to tell. If he was a heavy heroin user in PA (as the TikTok girl above suggests) and was a security guard at a school in PA (as has also been reported), there's going to be a lot of scrutiny into whether he's committed previous crimes.
The car seems to have been what initially lead to him as a suspect. It wouldn't surprise me if there were witness reports and/or traffic cam footage of him parking near the house to surveil it many times before the attack.
You could certainly speculate that he might have planned all along to try out a semester at a college on the other side of the country, commit a horrific crime, and then return home and use the crime as an excuse to never return out West and attempt to avoid ever being a suspect.
At the time of his arrest, Kohberger was a Ph.D. criminology student and teaching assistant at Washington State University's Pullman campus, which is only about a 15-minute drive from Moscow, Idaho. Kohberger had just finished his first semester at WSU, the school said in a statement.
Moscow Police Chief James Fry confirmed in a Friday afternoon press conference that Kohberger lived in Washington state, and the college said that university police assisted Idaho law enforcement officials in executing a search warrant at Kohberger's on-campus apartment and office on Friday.

Until proven otherwise I’m just going to assume he’s some angry nerd who was pissed the hot sorority girls didn’t want to **** him and lashed out.
Something I heard yesterday was that he was a very awkward person that was always trying to fit in. Maybe he attended a party at that house and got offended by being rejected.
That he could kill four people the week before Thanksgiving and then complete his first semester at WSU in December points to him being a psychopath. Most serial killers are psychopaths. It won’t surprise me at all if other murders are attributed to him.
If, indeed, these were his first killings then he started off with a very unusual act for a serial killer-to-be. Most of them are somewhat tentative at their first attempt.
I think the mystery of why he locked the doors after killing the students can now be explained. He was pursuing a PhD in criminology so he would know that this would give him some time to put distance between him and the scene.
It turns out that that wasn’t necessary since his actions didn’t alert anyone. No one discovered the bodies until hours later.
To be fair, I think the only way we would have gotten that he was working toward a PhD in criminology at Washington State was if one of us was him.

Never give your DNA up momos, they can do whatever they want with it after that. I’m not a conspiracy theorists at all but I know if they have your DNA they can make you guilty of anything now whether you did it or not.

He is completely denying all charges (of course). I assume the authorities feel pretty certain they have the the right guy.
Well if someone has your DNA and we go down so crazy road where they need a patty, we’ll there you are with no recourse.
Well, I don’t think they are able to manipulate DNA to that point yet, so I don’t think you need to worry too much about it.

I’m pretty positive they’re way ahead of what we think and if they have your DNA they can make you be anywhere.

Your DNA follows you around everywhere you go and you shed it constantly in the form of hairs, skin cells, saliva and body fluids. So if there is someone who wants your DNA, it’s easy to get. I don’t think it’s worth worrying about.

We appreciate you coming back. … I just wanted to talk to you real quick and make sure that you’re going to be respectful this time and we’re not going to have any issues,'" he said. "And he was completely taken aback. He was shocked that I was saying that, and he said, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about. You totally have me confused.’”
The man apparently had a bad problem relating to women.
