Most intimidating hole at Augusta to me as a golfer is 12.

It's not like the rest are easy but 12 with the water and bunker in front and that skinny elongated green. Such a small window.

Mine would be 11. I feel real good with an 8 iron/7 iron in my hand as I would on 12. 11 played 400 back in 1935 and that still had teeth Today at 500 yards for the pros, probably 430 from the whites, I'm hitting my second from 180 with bail out right, but the pitch shot that will follow will be like glass going to the water. I would pray, take a three putt double bogey and run.

13 would be for me, but 12 is, too. 12 is intimidating for the reasons you mentioned (plus, for whatever reason, I suck at par 3s. I always seem to miss where I know I can't), but 13 for that long power draw off the tee and the creek running alongside the left edge of the fairway. It's long and tough.

Amen Corner is an absolute beast. It's so deceptively hard as peaceful as it looks, but those greens have such narrow windows in which you have to hit to be remotely successful (and by successful, I mean saving par). These guys play a level of golf the rest of the general population could only dream of.

It's unreal the talent they have. I've played TPC Southwind in Memphis several times, once about a month before the St Jude when they let the rough grow and had already starting shaving the greens down. It was insane putting on those greens. There's holes where the pro tees are a good 60 or 70 yards back from the blues and they tell you where they land it in the fairway off the tee and its way in front of where we were playing our second shots.

#4. 243 yd par 3 to a two-tier green with the pin about 3 paces on the top tier. Property boundary 10-15 yards right of the green and the only only palm tree on the course tucked away behind this green.

the biggest issue with all of amen corner but especially 12 is the wind. it swirls down thru that bottom and is very difficult to judge. it can change 180 degrees while you are setting up over the ball. plus being protected below the trees makes it hard to feel.
