I can't decide between The Wind Bowl and The Stand.

The Stand - 12 plays inside the 5 yard line. W. T. F. And I saw it from those endzone bleachers right there at that endzone. To top things off, it started snowing at the end of the game and the heater in my car quit working on the way home. Had to ride home with the windows down so the windshield wouldn't fog up.

The Wind Bowl....describable. W. T. F.

Still, I think neither of those can match what rebel fans must have felt to see the circus that Wayne Madkin, CJ Sirmones, and Eugene Clinton put on.

17ing Amos Jones. I had never seen a more pitiful excuse of special teams in my life. Our special teams did absolutely nothing well that day, and cost us the game.

Same thing with 2005. Yeah it was cool to win but did you really give a ****? We were both horrible AND played down to the competition AND had coaches who loved to snatch defeat from the hands of vict...well...... defeat.</p>

The student section was still on the east side and when visiting fans walked out thru the portals it was under the students. Covered my mom, dad, uncle and myself. 2 pissed off grown men. I knew that day why I didn't like them and never would.

Closed my eyes the last play to change our luck. Nothing like hearing the rebel crowd roar as we blew it again to make it even more cold and miserable than it was.

Went back in 94 to the fog bowl, got the win, and haven't been back since.

Sickening home loss plus it kept us out of a bowl ( a terrible bowl) but still a bowl.

The 2-point conversion to win on our field sucked in an epic way. Then to see a couple of them lounge out on our logo at the 50 while waving their flag put me over.

We was robbed#!@

Of course, the play never should have happened. For those too young to remember, we had the ball on OM 10 with about a minute left, game tied 14-14. Bellard kicks field goal on 3rd down instead of running out clock and then kicking FG. OM should have never gotten ball back.

Also saved Steve Sloans job for another year

We finish 7-4 and and do not go to a bowl. Now if you get 6 wins playing a 12 game schedule you will go to a bowl. Going to a bowl does not mean much anymore. It just means you really suck if you are at home during the holidays.

The week before, we were playing for a trip to Atlanta for the SECCG but lose to the Pigs. Up 14-7 in the 4th quarter the Kang tries a long field goal on a sloppy field and misses. Then former MSU fan Stewart Patridge leads the bears down for a score. Then the Riverboat Gambler goes for two and is successful. The Bears head to the Motor City and we are home for the holidays.

'97 Egg Bowl should be a given, but I was only 8 years old and it was my first game so I didn't think too much about it.

Here's a story for you from that game and first ever time I stepped on MSU's campus:
I remember my dad made us leave because he thought it was over and we also had my cousin who was an Ole Miss fan with us and he was probably about 14 or 15 so he knew what was going on. Anyway, we're walking up Barr Ave behind about a couple hundred yards from the stadium and my Ole Miss cousin had on the headset listening to the radio. Anyway he starts saying Ole Miss is about to score, so all three of us stop and stare back at the stadium. My cousin says TD and I can see all the Ole Miss section going apeshit, and my cousin says they are going for two, and right then my dad said, "Of course, Tuberville would go for two." I think he knew what was going to happen. My cousin starts jumping for joy and my dad is mad as hell as my cousin shouts "WE GOT IT, WE GOT IT!" I remember vividly all those Ole Miss fans just being rowdy as well and watching State fans running for the exits. My dad didn't say a word the whole way home.

'03 was pretty miserable in the freezing cold rain that was a downpour the whole game and then leaving at halftime down 24-0 I believe and seeing a sea of Ole Miss fans under the West side cheering Hotty Toddy as all the poor State fans just walked in between the sea of Ole Miss fans. I bet a picture of that would pretty F'n cool of UM fans and pretty F'n horrible for State fans.

Bitter cold... flurries and too many chances. I remember walking out of the stadium and some jackwad had a portable t-shirt printer stamping the final score on shirts for sale. Grrrr... GRRR dammit.

I fear the law of averages working right now... but please for the love of all that is Holy and Righteous, roll into Oxford and skulldrag them on Saturday. I'm sure that Masoli thinks he has an idea of what this rivalry means, but I sure as hell hope we pressure and intercept his *** all day long.

John Avery makes along run to put them in scoring position. He takes the hand off to the right and we shut it down, I remeber thinking we got their ***....he reverses field, and hauls *** down field. They score, go for two, so on and so forth....

I wanted to vomit.

The stand and Romaro Miller's senior year.

The stand speaks for itself.
I don't remember the year on Miller's senior season. I just remember it was freezing rain, my "water proof" clothes were water resistant until opening kickoff. I ran out of Jack in the first quarter. Every play in the 2nd half, it seemed, resulted in Miller, Deuce or Grant? breaking a new school record. The score was much closer than the game itself. They beat our *** the last 2 quarters.

I don't even recall getting back to the Grove, I just remember sitting in a chair at my in-laws' tent, and the world moving around me like you see in the movies. At one point one of my brother-in-law's friends walked by and said "You look pretty mad." I said "Yep", and he moved along. There had been this disgusting old man sitting next to me, covered in cheese and spittle, who welcomed MSU to the field with hollers of "GO TO HELL REDNECKS!! GO TO HELL COW COLLEGE!!" I had Jack turned up so loud in that ear to drown him out that my left ear rang for days. He was so disgusting and gross and obnoxious that my wife, the Ole Miss fan, told me she wanted State to win just to shut that fool up.

And to make it all worse, we should've won. Damn you, Sylvester Croom.

Watched a normally "money from that distance" Artie Cosby kick get blown back by Satan. In 92 froze my narrow *** off in those south endzone bleachers where we had what seemed like 100 shots at the end zone. I carried extra tickets to Oxford that day to try to sell for family members who were too smart to go. I could not GIVE them away.

During the last play (before the kick) the wind, which had been blowing all game long, suddenly abated. I told the group I was with, "I hope Bellard doesn't call a TO here. He ought to kick it now since the wind has slowed down."

The TO was called, the wind returned as the next play started, and the rest is history.</p>

I'm still not over the '81 game. The play in question (PI) was right in front of the student section. I can still see our guy IN FRONT OF Harmon. I swear if I had a rifle I would have shot Fourcade. I thought Cooks and and Collins were going to kill Dick Pace in the end zone. Big time robbery.

That was the worst loss that I have ever experienced from a football standpoint. I wanted Lynn Amedee fired after that game. We went to a prevent defense, and I knew that was a bad, bad, bad move. It all started when Jackie tried a long field goal with Hazelwood, and I remember wishing that he had put Wyatt in to punt the ball.

I wanted to tear something up so bad- that was tough.

Although, like I have often said, if you told me that we would lose the 97 Egg Bowl, but win the next two and go to two good bowls and win the SEC West, I would have made that deal.

Who was the undersized TB we replaced Davis with at the goal line? A kid out of New Orleans, Randy something , not stewart. Cassius Ware took care of him.

No doubt about it offensive PI on Ole Miss, yet our DB intercepted anyway. Game should have been over. But that arrogant SOB John Fourcade got a free play from our goal-line and took it in on a bootleg, I believe.<div>
</div><div>That team was one of our best ever, much better than our 8-4 record showed. Should have been 11-1. Lost by 3 to Bama in Tusk, lost 7-7 to USM in a game we dominated, but kept shooting ourselves in the foot. As I recall, we piled up something like 500 yds total offense, and USM got into our half of the field just once the entire game, on a fumbled kickoff by us which they cashed in for the 7 points.</div>

1978 (7-27) (I figure out Bob Tyler ain't Bear Bryant - and I still like Tyler)
1981 (17-21) (17 Dick Pace, ruined a good afternoon of deer hunting with 3 Ole Miss yahoos)
1983 (23-24) (Fortunately I turned the radio off I was so pissed & missed the near game winning drive)
1984 or 1986 (3-24) (Don't remember which one it was but the UM tackle that kept a copperhead whupped 50 lb heavier Elvis Butler all day)
1992 (10-17) (Had a bottle of Jim Beam & my blood pressure had to be out of sight)
1997 (14-15) (Damn Barrin Simpson almost knocked that conversion down; Rebs have 2 good drives, Avery tackled for loss on 1st but still gave him 1st down)

I would include 2008 but anything to get rid of Croom was worth it.

1. 1997 - Still don't know how we lost that one. Felt like a punch in the gut when they went for two and got it.

2. The Stand - In part becasue I left my jacket at home. Froze my arss off watching us try to punch it in.

3. Jackie's Last Stand - I reallywanted him to go out on top against Mississippi.

I was at the "Blow wind Blow... Go Rebs Go" game, but to little for that one to count for me.

Favorite games were:

1. 1999 - Unmatched. Nuff said.

2.1998 - Loved going to the ChampionshipGame and sending Tubby off in a pine box.

3. 2007 - "That was a mighty fine game Jo Jo". By Ed!
