Germantown is still Braves territory. Surprised the Cardinals don't take over until you get to Tate and Tunica counties.

Nice link, thanks for sharng...

Atle surprised to see the Rangers dominance of Texas. I lived in south Texas for a summer and everyone there was an Astros fan... but it looks like the Rangers have taken over now that the Astros have been awful for a while.

According to this Rangers dominate, and hometown is Yankees?

Rangers is probably right, but I'd take most Yankees and replace them with Astros, and my hometown was a Braves stronghold at least in the days of the Murph. We were a Yankees farm team for a long time, even mattingly played there which could explain some. I'm also guessing a lot of big baseball fans are not on Facebook.

Grew up in NE Arkansas. It was all cardinals. Although (for some strange reason) I always was a fan of the pirates.

The Cardinals border in MS follows very close to the extent of their television territory on Fox Sports and also the Memphis media market. Probably explains a lot of that.

Ugh, great. I knew I was surrounded by a bunch of Rolltiders, now I have to live with the fact that I'm amongst evil empire fans too? I probably should have known that with all the retirees in Santa Rosa County, FL. Go Cubs.

Why?

Surprised the Braves don't have more fans in Germantown.

Wouldn't Memphis more logically follow St Louis being closer to it and having the Redbirds in town?

Not saying there isn't a reason, but my assumption would have never been Braves. I'm biased though - I hate the Braves.

Kinda cool to see who Alaskans follow since they are so far away from any team.

Same with Hawaii.

Alaska is a mixed bag and it's funny how around Dutch Harbor they are Mariners fans. Also most of Louisiana are majority Yankees fans and that really goes for anywhere that's far away from a team.

growing up in laurel in the 50's, we had only cardinals on the radio...hence older group are cardinals fans....younger crowd grew up with braves on tv...don't know why yankees and red sox are #2-3 in south ms? actually their percentage total is greater than #1 braves in south ms!
with AAA redbirds in memphis, the cardinals are all over media...hence cardinals #1...

All over the media, except Comcast broadcasts. I've done a lot of bitching to Comcast about the lack of coverage in the Memphis market.
