speaking of injuries

I had a really painful muscle pull or strain or ebola-of-the-joints or some such nonsense.....and it HURT like hades for almost a week

I told my lovely bride that something happened when I suddenly turned to check my blind side while driving down towards the Rita facility

.............but.....

what HAPPENED was......

I was on the toilet
and managed to hurt myself

by - turning around to see where the flusher device was

I hurt myself .... finishing up a poopie-like-a-big-boy

....I don't know that I can change my story now,,,,,,,but I feel a little better

it's not my proudest moment

Sometimes when I'm involved in an intense self stim, I have to get into it. Often will feel an intense pull in right pectoral. I have to rub it out while rubbing...

Obviously got a little tear in there from my younger days.

I've been lucky on the injury front recently, but back during the winter, I slipped on a tiny piece of black ice in the work parking lot, fell backwards and knocked myself TF out COLD when I landed with the back of my head onto a concrete parking stop.

Don't know how long I was out, but it scrambled my ish. Wife made me go to the ER and was pissed at me for driving home. Diagnosed with a concussion. Missed two days of work due to nausea and bad headache. I had a lingering dull headache that came and went for about a week or two. It was my first concussion since a childhood bike wreck. The adult version was much worse.
Damn, some of you guys don't f around with the personal injuries.

Injured my rotator cuff when I threw a beer can at my TV after my team coughed up its 4th fumble of the game. More beer and a late comeback made it feel better.

I stepped out of the camper onto a folding chair sitting by the door while wearing flip flops severely sprained my ankle. It's been over a year and it still gives me fits at times with stiffness and swelling. I am still not convinced that they shouldn't have done an MRI to rule out a fracture or torn ligaments.

Wrecked on my bike looking at the construction on the McDonalds going in at Park Hills. Was going slow but ran into barrier and wrecked. Injured/cut open left pinky hitting wood stake, bruised shoulder and ego as people in traffic looked on. A little reminder of what can happen on a bike even going that slow.

Nasty gash to my shin. Don’t remember how I did it. Lots of Jim Beam was involved.

So back in August we were in Zermatt, Switz. & took two trams up to Matterhorn glacier paradise station to view Matterhorn Mtn - magnificent. The ski lifts at top were open but snow was slush. I walked under a T-bar lift to get a good photo of something. Somehow, one of the hard plastic T-bar stations was traveling fast on the ground - instead of over my head - and smacked the side of my lower leg hard. To this day I have a major pain at that spot. OK, you don't believe me.

Yeah, it does suck. You ought to hear my knees when I do squat thrusts. Sound like a Craftsman ratchet. And lately, when I go down on one knee,I get a sharp pain when the one knee has to bear all the load for that 2 seconds. They're going to explode one day, I know it. I've abused them so.

I painted our bathroom about 3-4 years ago. I was under the gun to get paint on the walls so I could mount fixtures and whatever, so I was going fast and hard (heheh). Got tennis elbow in both elbows. Never had it before and would have laughed at anybody that had it before actually having it. But that mess really hurts.

I do believe you. I have a numb spot on my shin from a hard, direct hit I took there as a child 35 years ago. It has never been the same. It;s numb-feeling, but if you bang it on something, it'll take you down for a few minutes. Shin injuries are weird.
