On one hand, when have we said in the past 13 years that we have a team that can remotely match up with these guys.. Well now we have one. But holy ****, watching that KSU game last night made me think of only two outcomes:

1. LSU comes out and sucks ***, but we find a way to suck just a little bit more. We drive the field 3 times and have a fumble and interception in the red zone, followed by a missed field goal and sulk the rest of the night.

2. We come out hype as ****, but LSU comes out more hype and finds an offense that resembles the Denver broncos that goes away for the rest of the year. Why? Because they are 17ing LSU and they have our number.

Holy **** this sucks... I'm not getting a damn thing done today.

You and me both brother. I'm beginning to lose my appetite I'm so nervous. I have to admit it did cross my mind last night when K-State kept blowing every scoring opportunity that it strongly resembled Mississippi State (in past seasons anyway).

Hype enough to find an offense for 4 quarters that no matter what we do, we are gonna get curb stomped by those mofos. Then will subsequently lose to OM and Arkansas because they suddenly forgot what an offense was.

It's called being a State fan. After watching ULLM vs LSU and Aub vs K-State my first impression was LSU & Aub aren't all that damn good, certainly not top 10 quality. We can beat these m-fers. And then the memories of Sate games past began flooding my thoughts........damn, just damn. If I didn't have to work today I'd just go ahead and start getting drunk.

This is the one weekend that I don't get stressed over because I know we are going to lose so no sense in being Charlie Brown trying to kick that football and having Lucy snatch it away (that *****). Probably won't even watch it.

I know it makes me a loser with a crappy mentality but I will go back to being a good State fan immediately after the game.

We'll be OK if we can somehow defend against the pass, and never have to kick a field goal. And make enough TDs that we don't have to worry about missed extra points.

Best I can remember, we haven't made a field goal yet this year, and have either missed or came very close to missing about 75% of the extra points.

Watching K State's place kicking impotence made my blood run cold because.....

I didn't even have to close my eyes to envision that being US in a couple of games this season including the very team they played!!!

There it was on prime time TV. Exhibit A1 of how the inability to kick a FG WILL cost you a ballgame. Excruciating to watch K State do it. It would be 100X worse to see us do it.

Not going to lie - I'm starting to get more and more nervous. Usually - LSU week - I know the outcome. This year - we have a decent shot of beating them. From what I have seen so far this season - no way in the SEC West is making me say we can't beat them.

I agree with all above. For reference, I was there the last time we won a game in Baton Rouge.

I was with my girlfriend.
She is now my wife.
We've been married twenty years.
We've raised two kids that will be in college themselves next year.

That's a long time.

I hate to be cliche' but the difference this year is #15.

I watched him pull us out of the fire against OM last year, and frankly again this year vs. UAB. The kid is a winner who doesn't crumble under pressure.

All the hype and expectations among our fanbase are eerily similar to a lame "We Believe" campaign. We looked like **** against UAB and half of the USA game. It'll probably get ugly tomorrow.
