Will it be an anything goes day with this rain? Who will be hurt the most with a slowed down outside game and who benefits in a trenches game?

My guess is that the teams with September Offenses will be most challenged as the weather will force them into a limited and less used scope of plays.
I look for the grinders to win several games that in 60 degrees, low wind and sunny skies, most would have been dust.

Sunny day and high of 72 in the STL area for ESL and Alton to host. All other 5/6:7/8a games are in the muck.

Additionally, it should be 66 but cloudy at 5:00 in Rochester, IL. Herrin and Highland also host in 4a below the weather line.

Most of the games today are on field turf surfaces, one of the exceptions is LW East @ St Charles East, but I don't think that'll slow down the Griffins and this actually is their first game on a natural grass field as they have played the last 10 weeks on FT surfaces. I'm more concerned about lightning issues as possible scattered t-storms are forecast...You know how that goes....30 minute delay per strike...Right now it looks like current activity is moving out of the Chicago area...so...fingers crossed that the weather holds up....

Curie vs Marist is at Knute Rockne stadium. Major renovations but it is still a grass field.
