I know I have to stick with "my boy" McRae, but really this post has more to do with why McRae isnt getting the ball thrown his way. Well, and because Bumphis is a freak.

Is someone else seeing something that I am not seeing? Is he slower? What is the story. It is criminal that Wilder is getting preference over McRae.

I really thought he would light it up this year (based on the "thriving in Croom's offense = domination in Mullen's offense" theory).

but wonder how McRae has adapted to the new offense,
I understand that he was in rehab, and rode an exercise bike, during spring training.
Other than talent, seems like the extra practice helped for all that participated.
Also, not sure he has mentally gotten over his injury.

Bumphis (or any slot guy) often matches up against an LB while Mc - or whoever is running X - is being defended by a CB who is naturally a better cover guy. Plus, I think our QBs just have a tougher time getting the ball to the X and Y guys on longer or even intermediate routes.

I honestly can't remember a throw to Mc this year other than perhaps one or two against JSU. Perhaps some of the deflected balls were intended for him. Who knows.
