How you feeling? I remember you said you had come down with Covid the same time I did. I'm almost well. Still very weak. I'll be at the Forest Hills game this week for sure.

ACR 35 Robinson 28. Reynolds at home will be a tough opponent for anyone.

Crest 28 Asheville 24. Crest on the road is a very tough match up for Asheville. The Cougars are no pushover though!

Pisgah 48 Enka 14. Pisgah gets to take out a little frustration.

Brevard 42 Erwin 28. I really hope I'm wrong about my Warriors but they have really struggled. I just hope we get Lawson Reynolds back for this game. Maybe he will motivate the other players!

NB 28 Madison 21. Madison is 2-0 for the the first time in a long time but they have played two of the worst teams in WNC. This will be a close game.

SP 42 Roberson 21. Roberson is decent but this will be a big test for them.

I hope you guys are close to right on how the Pisgah game winds up because that is what the differential SHOULD be. Missed tackles, blown assignments, and not being as physically dominant as we should be for our personnel this year, has been our demise so far. Hopefully, the Jets are just what we need to look different from here on out.

All 4 of those teams have played very strong schedules. I know injuries have been a huge problem for ACR also, we dressed 28 players tonight, 7 players didn’t dress due to injuries and we lost 2 more during the game. Conference play will be tough because seems all 4 of those teams are just about even.

I saw in the paper that Erwin WR Lawson Reynolds is said to have a torn ACL from the West Henderson game so his senior season is over.

Unfortunate report for him and sounds like a major blow to Erwin emotionally and physically.

For a couple years you have been seeing this, but this year is the most obvious case that Buncombe county football has dramatically gotten worse in the last few years.

Asheville has won 1 game barely and gotten blown out in 2. They should be 0-3
Reynolds has won 1 game barely and gotten blown out in 2. They should be 0-3
Erwin is 0-3.
Tc Roberson is 1-2 and been blown out in 2 and should be 0-3.

Asheville Reynolds and Roberson have 3 combined wins by a combined 7 points.

It’s not that we have bad records, which is bad enough…. It’s the manner in which we are losing. We aren’t even competitive! Crest could have named the score against us last night. Reynolds was blown away at home last night giving up nearly 50 points and losing by 4 touchdowns. Erwin had high hopes this year and will likely start the season 0-6.
Roberson has tons of talent walking their halls and they should be 0-3 and have been outscored 76-6 the last 2 weeks.
I don’t buy the “oh well football isn’t as popular anymore” excuse. It’s popular in Boone still apparently. It’s popular still in Charlotte and Cleveland county and Greensboro apparently. What the hell is going on in Buncombe county?

I think some of it is the flow of talent to Christ School and even Asheville school now. Also Rabun Gap takes a few.

Then you have the ebb and flow of talent, I heard Asheville middle has some talented players.
