Big game for both teams possibly bigger for Erwin considering how tough their schedule is.

Should be a fun game. There is a hint of fall in the air and these two programs usually have some really close games. They both have a common opponent in Pisgah although Erwin just scrimmage them. Sounds like the outcome was pretty close both games. I hear Heritage is the same old pound and ground. If it works keeps doing it. Erwin is the same as well. The spread you out and try to take advantage of their athletes and qb. I think one huge factor will be if Lawson Reynolds plays. He's the pre-season WNC player of the year and that would be on offense and defense. When he went out early in the WH game you could tell it really got Erwin out of sorts. If he plays this week I'll take the Warriors by 7. If not I'll take MH by 14.

Idk if we will be able to stop Erwin’s passing attack the question is can we keep up with them on the scoreboard. It may come down to the last possession like last year.

Last year was a great game. Ironically #2 was ejected in the 2nd half of that game. I think this might be a high scoring game this season. Does heritage pass much or just run the qb and rb a lot. I noticed the rb is really big too.

If I’m being 100 percent honest Erwin should of beat us last year that fumble at the end was the dagger, when you guys had that goal line stand with those big d linemen I thought we was beat then lol

Yeah that one hurt. Erwin would have been undefeated in the regular season if not for that one fumble. That's the way it goes though.

Small but strong like last year

Yes, Heritage doesn’t have Pisgah’s size but they pushed around pretty good on the line and kept us on our heels at the 2nd level.

Both of y’all are kind of offensive strength against defensive weakness this week.

Erwin has to stop the run and protect #2 on D. If the front 7 are consistently allowing runners into the 2nd and 3rd levels, it puts him in a bad spot.

I will say I agree. He cant do it all. I just hope his injury is not serious, especially his senior year. I know his family and he's a great kid.

My question is how many games does Erwin win with their schedule, Enka and NB they should beat Roberson and Asheville are winable but everyone else might be a struggle.

Man I really don't know. Erwin is struggling right now and they need a spark. When their star receiver got hurt in that WH game you could really see their demeanor change. He's worth at least 2-3 td a game so its a huge loss considering they lost both games by those margins. I just hope he's back tonight vs Brevard. The crappy part is we have Hendo, Watauga, and Reynolds next. Erwin could go from 12-2 conference champs to 0-6 to start the season!
