This layout would make their conference arguably stronger than the Big East, ACC and Big Ten in my opnion from top to bottom.

Me likes it.

they would definitely deserve BCS status. But rumor has it that the Pac-10 will soon add Utah and Colorado and the Big 12 will replace Colorado with BYU.

they would take Arkansas. Then the SEC could save the Tulane football program after they write a "letter of regret" and make the SEC easier and give everyone in the SEC a chance to go to the Big Easy and party.

New Orleans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Little Rock.

And it would be a conference win.

Maintains the rivalry in conference and if you look at their basketball schedules, travelling teams play two teams on a road trip on a Thursday/Sat. schedule. Arizona St. plays Washington and Arizona plays Washington St. on Thursday night and then they swap for Saturday. It cuts down on travel costs.

Sure the proposed MWC teams are doing well now, but so was Rutgers, West VA, and South Florida a few years ago.

I'd rather other BCS conferences poach the good schools, rather than MWC eating up an at-large bid.

I know they'd have to pay the WAC a good bit of money, but the trade off would be a likely BCS bid that would more than pay for it.

It only makes sense for the best of the WAC and MWC to combine to form a mid-major super football conference to get in the BCS. And yes, that conference would be better right now than the Big East, Big Ten, and ACC.

Honestly, the MWC at this moment may be stronger than a couple of those leagues.

Arkansas just does not fit in the SEC. I think the SEC would go after Clemson or Georgia Tech, then move Vandy to the Western Division....One can dream...

I disagree Topdawg, Arkansas fans love being in the SEC. Granted, they still hate Texas with a passion, but love being in the SEC. I would be very surprised to see Arkansas leave the SEC for the Big 12.

I would say it is about half and half. Some Pigs seem to talk up the SEC. The older ones seem to favor the Big12. I bet if the fans had a vote though....they would move to the Big12. However, they don't so it won't happen.

Utah and BYU to Pac-10, becoming Pac 12 and having a championship game. Baylor and Vanderbilt to Conference USA to join other private schools like Rice, Tulsa, SMU, Tulane. Arkansas takes Baylor's spot in the Big 12 South. With two spots available, the SEC adds Georgia Tech and Clemson. This allows both Georgia and South Carolina to have their archrivals as conference games and gives them an extra non-conference game to schedule. It also adds to our baseball league. The two spots left in the ACC are taken by Syracuse and Connecticut, allowing the ACC to split into logical North/South alignment and adds two basketball powerhouses to the only sport they really care about.

There is definitely a difference of opinion across age groups for Arkansas fans. The older ones prefer the Big 12, but only because of Texas and to a lesser extent Texas A&M and Oklahoma. The younger fans, i.e. those in their 30's and younger, much prefer the SEC. Arkansas has been in the SEC long enough now to where the students there know nothing but the SEC. This group of Arkansas fans have more hatred for every single one of the SEC West schools than they do for any of the Big 12 South schools with the exception of Texas.

Vandy would never leave the SEC's money for CUSA money. I doubt Arkansas would ever leave either, but a move to the Big 12 would't be just a huge shock. If they ever did though, my choice to replace them would be North Carolina. Wouldn't hurt our football, would instantly make us the elite basketball conference, and would provide access to the large Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte TV markets. I don't know if they'd ever leave the ACC for the SEC, but I'd sure as hell make a run at them if we ever had a vacancy.

That's the least "SEC" of the SEC on-campus gameday experiences.

Yes, more than Vandy. I live in Nashville. Trust me.

I thought South Carolina had a good reputation for large and loud crowds. And entering to the 2001 music is pretty damn cool. They can't suck that bad at tailgating could they?
