WVU claimed last season's meeting 4725-4649 in West Point, New York.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The Mountaineers are competing for the first time since the WVU Fall Classic where West Virginia downed No. 7 Air Force, No. 8 Murray State and No. 10 Nebraska. The Mountaineers scored 4741 at the event.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The winning effort by West Virginia marked the ninth straight top-11 team in the nation the Mountaineers defeated to open the season. Six Mountaineers packed the leaderboard, with six occupying the top 10 spots in the overall standings.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>WVU holds the top aggregate (4743.0) and smallbore (2361.8) average in the nation.
